Menard’s Donation Request Committee, November 5, 2012

I called Janeen, one of the managers at your Rice Lake store, and asked her how/when/if organizations find out if their donation requests will be granted. She said to send another letter to your committee, explaining that our Farm Tech Days 2013 Youth Committee is currently trying to budget for costs for next summer’s farm show. It would be so very helpful if you could let us know whether or not you think our request for fencing for our Outdoor Adventures area will be accepted or rejected by your committee. I understand that our request is for an event that is still several months away, but we are diligently trying to budget our funds and we would really appreciate knowing whether or not you see our request as one that will be accepted. My e-mail address is [email protected]. I’m hoping someone from your committee will be able to let me know your committee’s thoughts regarding our fencing request. Thank you very much. Last week I dropped off this request with Janeen, at the Rice Lake Menard’s store; she was going to forward it to your committee. I found pictures of fencing that had been donated for the 2010 FTD show in Marathon County; hopefully the photos give you an idea of the area we are trying to enclose. Also, I wanted to make sure that you knew that all fencing materials would go back to Menard’s; this request is for a temporary use of materials. I am hoping that the vinyl fence posts will sit over the top of metal fence posts that have been dug into the ground. Thank you again for considering this request. Lynn Kolpack

The youth event area at Barron County’s July 2013 Farm Technology Days is 300‘ by 140’. Within that space we will have a 60’ by 120’ tent set-up for inside displays and presentations. We are looking for donated fencing that will provide an attractive and definite boundary for our Outdoor Adventures area.

Would your business consider helping us with this project? There would be plenty of room for signs to thank and recognize your business for supporting the 2013 Barron County Farm Tech Days.
