Selection Process Applications are reviewed by the MSHF Scholarship Committee and rated on the basis of the scholarship application materials. Those applications with the highest overall ratings will be awarded scholarships. The number of scholarships and the dollar amount is set each year by the Foundation Board of Directors. Applications are rated strictly on the basis of merit without regard to the current Minnesota university program in which the applicant is enrolled. Scholarships are awarded each year at the annual MSHA Spring Convention. Scholarship recipients are asked to attend the convention awards presentation.
