Job Description: Production Coordinator Reports to: Research & Development Director Department: Operations

PURPOSE:  To coordinate planning, logistics, supply chain, materials, and manufacturing functions.  Partners with Sales, Marketing & Shipping departments in order to support sales growth.  To perform duties and responsibilities reflective of the mission and core beliefs of the organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  Production Planning & Purchasing  Track inventories: raw materials, packaging components, finished goods  Evaluate monthly production requirements: multiple raw material + packaging components  Create, submit, track raw material + packaging POs  Verify purchasing minimums, costing, lead times per component in relation to production cycles  Verify delivery of purchased goods  Submit production POs + tracking production through delivery  QuickBooks inventory reconciliation  Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of Pangea Organics’ mission  Drive organizational initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence  Manage day to day processing of materials received using QuickBooks, producing reports as requested.  Oversee inventory fill rates and inventory turnover  Enforces all Company policies and work/safety rules  Basic production accounting  Ingredient validation and certification

REQUIREMENTS:  Commitment to Pangea Organics core values.  QuickBooks experience is a necessary requirement  Competent computer skills; MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and QuickBooks  Excellent communication skills both verbal and written  Demonstrated project management capabilities  Excellent interpersonal skills  A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace  Excels at operating in an fast pace, community environment  Open to direction and a collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done  Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.  Ability to look at situations from several points of view  Persuasive with details and facts  Manufacturing/Production and/or Purchasing experience preferred.
