2. ANNUAL APPEAL FUND: Lynn Mulvey, Assistant Director of Development, and Whitney Brice, Associate Director of Annual Fund & Leadership Support, gave a presentation to the Senior Staff regarding the importance of the Faculty/Staff Annual Appeal. This year’s appeal will begin in mid- November and will be co-chaired by James Douthit, Professor and Chair of the Music Department, and Rob Randall, Men's Lacrosse Coach. The goal is to raise $100,000 from faculty and staff. Ms. Mulvey noted that the Nazareth Fund is the “lifeblood of the college”. Since tuition covers only 75% of the cost involved in educating each student, it is the Nazareth Fund that makes up the difference. Some of the services and programs that are made possible with the Nazareth fund donations are: scholarships, sports teams, student organizations and clubs, faculty/staff enrichment, curriculum development, the honors program and the first year program just to name a few. The Nazareth Fund assists the college in carrying out its mission statement, academic vision and support of the community. It helps make the Nazareth College experience unique. Gifts to the Annual Fund can be made in the following ways: check or money order made payable to Nazareth College, credit card, secured online gifts, or payroll deduction. Please consider giving to the Annual Fund this year.

3. DRAFT OF TIMELINE – COLLEGE OF 2020 STEERING COMMITTEE: The Senior Staff reviewed the Steering Committee timeline for November 2010 – October 2011. It was agreed that Ms. Genthner would revise the timeline allowing additional time for the subcommittees to continue working on the themes and goals. The completed strategic plan document will be presented to the Board of Trustees at the January 2012 meeting.

4. UPDATES: * The new Arts Center Dance Festival brochure is ready for distribution. Featured performances this year will be Garth Fagan Dance, The Rochester City Ballet and the Bill T Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company. * Mr. Worthen reported that the Student Development Office has two searches underway: one for Director of Counseling Services and one for the Protestant Chaplain. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in the interviewing process.
