Parnassus’ Teacher’s Wish Lists

A big thank you to our teachers for the hard work they have put in so far with their dedication to their training, and thought towards what they'll need to be successful this inaugural year at Parnassus! Many of us as parents want to know what we can do to help our teachers and their classrooms directly. So here you'll find our teacher’s wish lists. It is just a start, and the PTO will be working with the teachers to update the list as time goes on, as well as introducing wish lists in different formats (online versions, wish lists in the classrooms, etc) based on their desires.

Please feel free to designate your gift to go to your child's teacher specifically. At this time we are not implementing a "registry" type system to avoid duplicate gifts, because we know even if one teacher receives more of something they asked for, they can pass the gift on to another classroom. So please do not be offended if they pass an item on! Another great idea could be to include a gift receipt just in case.

Drop off instructions:

 You may bring donated items with you to the Open School event, August 19th from 3-6pm. However, if you are planning on donating a bigger item, such as the large rugs for K, or a larger furniture item - please email [email protected], and we can arrange a time during move in week to get it in the building before Open School night.  Once the school year starts, please feel free to bring items right to your child's classroom or send them with your child.

But remember, our great teaching staff is beads, glitter, feathers, ribbon, paint, Elmer’s starting from scratch! Some ideas include: bottle glue, water color paints, staples,  Gift cards can be given to the teacher they can paperclips, etc. combine them to purchase the bigger items  Gift cards for: IKEA, Lakeshore Learning,  Multiple families could pool money together Target, Wal-Mart, The Container Store, Barnes and buy a bigger item & Noble, Office Depot/Max - ANY  At traditional gift giving times (the holidays), DENOMONATION HELPS! think about purchasing items off this list or giving gift cards.  Look for items on craigslist or other online auction sites. As long as they’re in great shape, you could really stretch your dollar!
