Parent Information Parents,

Last week, students were introduced to the concept of fact vs. fiction. How do we prove if something is fact? Why are mysterious hard to prove. We used two different mysterious creatures to help with this concept: The Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot. Students continued to explore subject and predicate. We finished unit 4 in math and continued to work on learning multiplication patterns. We changed our focus from explorers to the first people in our country. Students were introduced to Native Americans and the 4 regions that they lived in, in California.

Fun Run: Our Fun Run is quickly approaching. Please note that last year’s Fun Run was an extra fund raiser for our new play structure that is scheduled to be put in soon. This Fun Run, is meant to serve as our yearly fund raiser. It is taking the place of our “paper fund raiser.” We hope that families participate, as this is how PTC will make most of its funds for the year. PTC helps to fund field trips, special events, and assemblies. They also help to fund extra “items” around our campus. Your contributions and support are always welcome and help to make our school a great place for students to come and learn.

Needed Items: boxes of tissues and pencils
