______Contestant Signature Parent/Guardian Signature 2012 JACKSON COUNTY JUNIOR FAIR QUEEN CONTRACT

Between ______, hereinafter referred to as “Titlist” and the Jackson County Junior Fair Association, hereinafter referred to as “Association.” 1. Titlist certifies and/or agrees to the following: I attest that I am a naturally born female, I am a citizen of the United States of America and a legal resident of the State of West Virginia; I have never been married, had a marriage annulled, am not currently pregnant, have not adopted a child or have never borne a child. I agree to remain single during my reign, agree not to become pregnant and understand that if either of these occurs this contract will become null and void. I attest that I have reached my 16th birthday by January 1, 2013 and will not have passed my 22nd birthday on or before January 1, 2013; that I am of good moral character; that I have not been convicted of any major crime; that I have not heretofore made any legal obligations that would prevent or limit my participation as Titlist and that I am not the current titleholder nor never have been Jackson County Junior Fair Queen. 2. I agree that I am satisfied with the manner in which the pageant and judging will be conducted and that all information provided on my entry form is true and correct. 3. I agree to cooperate with the duly appointed director of the pageant. 4. I agree to reign over the Jackson County Junior Fair and participate in all activities required by said event. 5. I understand that, at my own expense, I may arrange to attend official functions of any recognized Fair and Festival in the State of West Virginia. The Association is not responsible for any such expenses. 6. I agree not to incur any debts on behalf of the Jackson County Junior Fair. 7. I agree not to enter or participate, as a contestant, in any pageant or contest during the term of this agreement. I further agree to relinquish any titles I now hold other than this particular one. 8. I agree not to be photographed as the reigning Titlist, with or without the crown and banner, for any publication, including calendars, without written consent from the Association. Furthermore, any photographs of Titlist, which make reference to the title, must be seen and approved by the Association before being distributed to the public. This includes photographs taken prior to being named Titlist. 9. I agree not to endorse, as the Titlist, any products, companies, or organizations without written permission of the Association. 10. I certify that I have not participated in any activities that would be embarrassing to me and/or the Association prior to this agreement. I also agree that if during my year of reign, I do engage in any such activity, including being arrested and charged with a crime, the Association shall have the right to declare my title void and I will return all prizes and/or awards to the Association. 11. I agree, that if I participate in Social Networking Programs such as Facebook, Twitter, You Tube etc., I will not make statements containing inappropriate or profane language. In addition, I agree not to post pictures or videos of myself dressed inappropriately, drinking alcoholic beverages or making inappropriate gestures. 12. I agree to hold harmless the Jackson County Junior Fair and any of its representatives in case of an accident. My parent(s) or guardian(s) will provide any/and/all medical expenses incurred by myself as Titlist. 13. I agree to attend as many West Virginia Fairs and Festivals as possible.

It is understood the term of this agreement is July 14, 2012 through July 14, 2013.

With my signature I certify I have read this agreement and understand it. I further understand that in the event I do not fulfill any of the above agreements, unless extenuating circumstances prevail, the Association shall have the right to terminate this agreement and select a successor at its discretion. The Executive Board shall define extenuating circumstances.
