In Support of TLIG

The two following letters from Vassula have been circulated through the official TLIG mailing list in 2003 with the title “In support of TLIG”:

I wish to put an end to the repetitive mistake that is being done throughout these years. I have repeatedly been advising the organizers, but maybe it was my mistake, because I was advising them individually when it was too late and had never done it in general how to go about with the meetings. What are the right steps to take. This has become tedious with time because now it is many years we have the same old problem.

This is what I wish the TLIG people to have as a CV of what is TLIG. Much negative material is circulating, full of falsehood, and it always amazes me how people react on what is evil and false. I noticed when false pamphlets are circulating, containing slander and calumny against the TLIG messages and about me, many people who receive it being lay or from the hierarchy, become mesmerized and like a dry sponge absorb the venom immediately, keeping it; and it becomes extremely difficult to convince them and neutralize them and show them that what they absorbed was totally uncharitable and diabolical. Even when they blow up the Notification so that it appears as a condemnation or an ex-communication, a lot of people don’t see it, they don’t see how it has been deformed. The Notification is a “mis-en-garde”, and it is not a condemnation nor an ex-communication. Then, even more amazing, when something positive circulates it seems to me that people who see it, see it with unseeing eyes. They even seem to fall suddenly in a lethargic sleep and take no notice of the content. So here is what the TLIG organizers or even anybody should have at hand. It is a file that will contain the following:

 Theological studies by different theologians showing the books (from the site)  The journeys in flags  Beth Myriams with the pictures  The Farfa speech BUT with the invitation of Farfa (Nicky provides the invitations)  The welcome speech of the Patriarch of Alexandria to the TLIG people while in Cairo  The Enigma Vassula book  From the series “Touched by the Spirit” The Fr. Ed O’Connor book.  A photocopies page of Card. Ratzinger’s statement (highlighted) in the “30 Days” magazine, where he clearly says that the Notification is NOT a condemnation.

Everyone of TLIG should have this and not more or any other stuff joined in there. That’s a kind of CV that every Catholic Bishop in their environment should have on their desk, not when I am about to come, but even now. The slander that runs around is swift, cruel and efficient and that is what they usually get before we manage to pass on the true information. Jesus Christ has given us enough powerful material to defend His message, and we should not lament. Many organizers in the last minute are dumped and the meeting they organized through months of hard work is suddenly ordered by the local Bishop to cancel it. Why? Because they ask his permission and this obliges him to feel responsible, especially when he has a closed mind for the charisms. Asking his permission becomes official. We are not doing any official gathering to my knowledge, but a gathering in a non-Catholic place where one can be talking about fashion, or politics or medicine or cosmetics or whatever, but we do not talk about worldly stuff, but spiritual stuff, promoting the Good News and reviving what is dead and diminishing this apostasy of today. Free speech in the whole world is allowed and anyone can speak out or demonstrate, so why do you allow yourselves to be trapped and become prisoners? Christ gave us our freedom to use it and do good.

In our gatherings it is not only Catholics that come, but also Orthodox, Anglicans, Presbyterians, Penticostians, and others, even non-Christians are coming. It is a free gathering and not only made for Catholics.

When I first came to Rome I visited the Unity Office in the Vatican and I was advised by this office to ask the organizers to make me an appointment with the local Bishop BEFORE the meeting, just to greet him. When I asked, “What if they refuse?” they said, “ It will be their problem, but you have done your duty.” Usually they do not refuse to meet me and some are quite gentle. I explain what I’m doing and what I had been doing all these years and I cordially invite him as well if he wishes to come in the meeting.

The other VERY important thing that should come in the forum so that it is available to everyone, and again here, it is positive and powerful material that Christ has given us TO USE, not once, or twice, but all the time. We should make available in the site ALL, but all the Introductions, epilogues, Forwards, or articles, made by Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops, Metropolitans, priests, exorcists, and theologians, and use these constantly as a defense; why, did you ever believe that Satan took a break and has taken time off for a puff or two from a cancer stick (cigarette) with a cup of cappuccino? He is on the run and alert and takes advantage in every occasion that is given to him. So how about putting some road-blocks for him and stop his race? The road- blocks are what I have just mentioned above.

Now, do not forget that many of the Introductions and Forwards, Epilogues etc. ARE NOT even known to English speakers or French speakers. What I want to say is e.g. that we have in the Italian books two different and great theologians who wrote the Introductions. No one has translated these in other languages to be used. One of them is an expert on St. Brigit of Sweden and makes a comparison. Then there are other theologians, perhaps in Polish language who prepared something powerful, yet it remains only in Polish. Who can become responsible to pick up all of these (40 languages) and have them translated all into English first? Can anyone advise the Associations who print and distribute to take full responsibility and see what is in their books then have it translated into English? If everyone does this simultaneously we will avoid a lot of work being loaded on just one person.

In Christ, Vassula

In support of TLIG (2) From: TLIG forum Add to Contacts To: [email protected] Sat, February 1, 2003 11:37:08 AM

The following letter from Vassula should be read in conjunction with her letter sent out on January 29.

One should never drop their hands by their side and give up with a sigh of discouragement, before even trying especially when we work for God.

The Lord has given us ammunition and weapons that is the material I mentioned. I don’t think that many people quite registered yet that we are in one of the greatest spiritual wars of our times with the Enemy. The Lord though, knowing the dangers, has provided all of us with the spiritual artillery to combat the Enemy and keep him away. But we hardly used it; we have nicely stored it away. Innocently, dreamingly we step out to face the Enemy with nothing in our hands and the Enemy easily crushes us like ants.

It is very simple, has anybody heard of soldiers going out to war empty handed to face their enemy, with no artillery, nothing? They would be wiped out before they know it.

I am stressing that this material is very important and it could be done efficiently and easily so that everyone can have access to it. I propose that each country that printed their books (and that means the ones who are responsible of preparing the volumes and printing them) would either translate the preface or introduction of the priest, theologian or bishop or whoever wrote in it, into English or French. If they themselves cannot do it, I ask them if they would find someone who can do it for them. It does not need to be perfect, we can correct and polish the language.

I said either French or English because in these two languages that are most spoken we will have those articles in the forum. If e.g. the Brazilians want to translate them into Brazilian, of course they will draw them out to translate them for their use.

Maybe one day we can print them all and make a book out of them. But let’s start with something.

God bless, Vassula
