I. Enhancing Access to AFE Knowledge Products and Services

 There were 50 e-library clients served by the FITS center.  Two briefings on IPAD Program were conducted to 60 participants. These are composed of AEWs, and Local Farmer Technicians (LFTs).  5 web pages were uploaded.  There were two e-courses administered, 40 individuals registered and 40 enrolled in E- Extension.  School-On-the Air on Good Agricultural Practices for Corn Production had its graduation last May 22 held at Farmers Training Center-CMU, Musuan, Maramag, Bukidnon. The 500 graduates were from the five municipalities from the southern part of Bukidnon, namely: Maramag, Kalilangan, Kadingilan, Don Carlos and Kibawe.  E-Learning Techno Support Course was conducted to 26 FITS center staffs so that the FITS Center will become an e-Learning hub. It was held at STI College in Cogon, Cagayan de Oro City last May 18-19. The participants performed an actual demonstration on mastery of the e-learning content structure and site navigation.  Web mentoring to further enhance the ATI-RTC 10 website was done by Mr. Joserey Alo to the Center’s ICT Team. “Searcheability” and higher web presence were the main purpose of the activity which was conducted on May 20 at the RTC 10 office..  FITS Pangantucan was officially launched on May 21, 2015. The launching including the formal turn-over of the P100,000 check for FITS mobilization were also part of the activity. The turn-over was attended by Hon. Vice Mayor Armando Evangelista, Hon. Ben Calunod, SB Chair on Agriculture, Dr. Anabelle Baldevia, MAO, Ms. Antonieta Arceo and Mr. Benedict Natividad of ATI-Central Office, Dr. Angelito Quirog and Ms. Noemi Beth Macario of ATI-RTC 10 and Farmers.

II. Strengthening Competitiveness and Capacities of the AF Sector

 Training of Trainers on Code of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) For Vegetable Farming was conducted to extension workers at Elena Tower Inn last May 13-15. The participants came up with Pre- and Post-Test, Municipal Action Plan for GAP Implementation, GAP Field Inspection Exercises.  Training on Organic Herbs and Spices Production and Utilization was conducted to farmers, some RIC members and extension workers last May 13-15 at Villa Paraiso Apartelle, Mambajao, Camiguin. The participants learned and made Herbal mint tea, infused water and herbs propagation.  Training of Trainers on Value-adding Processing and Utilization for Priority Fruits in Region 10 was conducted to RIC members last May 19-21 at Harborlights Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City. The participants learned about entrepreneurship in food processing and market opportunities for processed products and were able to performed Fish Pond Preparation  Dairy Management for Smallholder Farmers was participated by farmers last May 19-21 held in two venues, De Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City and NMFDC Farm, Kinawe, Libona, Bukidnon. They performed farm activities (milking, dehorning, deticking, deworming, body scoring).

 Training on Dairy Herd Management (Animal Nutrition And Health Management For Dairy Cows) was conducted to farmers and extension workers last May 26-29 at Middleton Apartelle, Carmen, Cagayan De Oro City and NMFDC Farm @ Kinawe, Libona, Bukidnon. The training helped the participants enhance their knowledge and skills on the identification of the Anatomy of the digestive system of ruminants using actual specimen.

 A TrainingTowards Capacitating LFTs, AEWs, MS, FLs was conducted last May 27-29 at Hotel Conchita, Cagayan de Oro City and participated by 32 participants. They learned about the ASEAN Integration and upland rice production. They were also briefed on the IPAD program where different ICT-based programs mostly on rice were presented.

Strengthening AFE Stakeholders’ Capacity in Climate Change Adaptation & Readiness  The second batch of Training on Managing Risk in Agriculture due to Climate Change was conducted last May 12-14 at Misamis Occidental Aquamarine Park, Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental. The training was participated by extension workers and they come up with an action plan and planted 200 mangrove trees.  VI. Improving Enabling Environment and Quality of Governance

 Regional Strategic Planning Workshop was participated by the staff from the Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO) of the five provinces of the region last May 4-8 held at Veranda Casisang, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. There were also representatives from the private sectors and the ATI Staff. The participants came up with Vision, Mission and Core Values, six (6) Workshop Outputs, Problem Tree, and Objective Tree as input for the Region X AFE Services Strategic Plan for 2017-2022.  Mr. Efren C. Macario, Dr. Angelito Y. Quirog and Ms. Maria Eloisa A. Akut attended meeting on the reorganization of 4H club in Balo-I town held at SB Hall, Nangka, Balo-I, Lanao del Norte last May 26, 2015. This is in response to their request to sec. Proceso Alcala for the organization of the 4H Club.  Ms. Maria Eloisa A. Akut, Information Officer II together with some 4Hers and coordinators attended the National Convention of 4H held at Tagbilaran, Bohol last May 18-22. The participants from the Region X participated in the contest. In the convention, Ms. Jaya Bayag, the 10 year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bayag of Jaya’s Secret Garden was one of the most uploaded presenter where she presented the activities in the farm where she is actively participating.  Mr. Javier P. Andalan attended the Assessment on Organic Agriculture Program cum Training on International Year of Soil last May 18-22 at ATI- CO RDEC Hall, Quezon City. The training enhanced his knowledge about the new trends in geo-tagging the learning sites of ATI.  Ms. Noemi Beth G. Macario, Media Specialist III attended training on Rice Crop Manager last May 4-8 at Nueva Ecija. The training made the partiicipants do actual generation of recommendation. A workplan for 2015 and 2016 were also made defining the role of various stakeholders including ATI in the implementation of RCM.  Ms. Noemi Beth Macario and Ms. Honeylou Cababaros attended the Courseware Tweaking: Workshop on Enhancing Current Online Courses on May 25-29, 2015 at Mandaue, Cebu City. The course on Vermicomposting and Durian production were updated. However, the Course on Mushroom and the 2 courses on Mango still need to be updated. The Vermicomposting Course developed by region 10 was recognized as the 1st Online Course whose graduates reached 1,000 for a single vision only.
