Agenda Item Discussion Action Call to Order Meeting called to order by Lisa Davis Patterson at 3:16pm Alumnae Prayer Read in unison by attendees Greetings/Introduction/ Welcomed alumnae and each Kudos alumna introduced themselves and their class year. Minutes Carla read the meeting from Sylvia motioned to accept the September 10, 2017 minutes. meeting minutes as read. Pam seconded. Minutes will be added to the website for review. 1st Vice President - (Joslyn Witherspoon) Financial Secretary Report No Report. (Pamela Williams)

Treasurer’s Report Sylvia disseminated Comerica Balance Forward is $3,629.27 (Sylvia Simmons) statement and report documenting balance and money movement from 9/10/17 to 10/8/2017. Old Business RAD Program Explanation of the RAD Program. Marsha presented the email explaining Public Safety’s Self Defense class. Ursula will follow up with the Director of Health and Wellness to determine if the program is comparable. Membership Letter Marsha reviewed the letter prepared to solicit membership. Discussed sending letters via email and mail as well as contacting College Fairs sisters via phone.

Lansing College Fair – Sonia volunteered to attend – need to determine how to send college fair materials. Spelman College Preview Night – October 11, 2017 Southfield Westin, 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm. Cass JRLA Mentor Program Tech HBCU Event changed to November 4, 2017.

Carla will contact the new principal. Volunteers needed New Business Fundraising Ideas for programming ideas and mentors.

SOAPs –Black Owned Gas Station, Hosting a Car Wash, Ford Field/ Comerica Park Concessions or Bartenders Fundraiser, Ice Skating at Campus Martius, Bowling Miscellaneous Fundraiser, Black Panther Visitation Movie (February 2018), Dance Theatre of Harlem (March 24- 25, 2018), Roller Skating

Add verbiage to the letter to determine if more senior alumnae need visitation due to illness and/or disability. Next Meeting Sunday November 12, 2017 Location: Greater Grace Temple Adjourn/Hymn No Spelman Hymn Motion made to adjourn meeting by Pam, motion seconded by Kimberly. Meeting adjourned at 4:20pm
