The Department of Military Affairs is inviting application for the following position:

POSITION TITLE: Military Security Police I

SALARY RANGE: $2,949.00 - $4,920.00/Monthly

POSITION LOCATION: Peoria Airport Peoria, Illinois

WORK SHIFT: Operating Needs

EXAMPLE OF WORK: Incumbent performs installation security; maintains law and order and security of property and personnel with the ANG area of responsibility. Incumbent is responsible for performance of duties to prevent entrance of unauthorized personnel to the ANG area and provide protection against fire, espionage, sabotage, theft, pilferage, and other acts detrimental to safeguarding the resources and materials therein covering the entire base area. May be subject to uncommon tours of duty.

MANDANTORY QUALIFICATIONS: Be an active member of the Illinois Air National Guard and assigned to the unit of employment. Have civilian or military law enforcement or security experience. Completion of basic security police or equivalent law enforcement course. Must never have been convicted by civilian or military court except for minor traffic violations and similar infractions or history of juvenile delinquency in two years preceding proposed employment. Must be qualified and able to operate motor vehicles. Must have a valid state driver’s license. Must be physically qualified to perform duties.
