Emergency Response Plan When Evacuation is Necessary

1. Determine whether the situation requires emergency procedures.

2. Evacuate personnel when necessary following the Evacuation Plan attached.

3. Ensure that emergency services such as medical and fire departments are called (dial 911).

4. Notify administration of the emergency and the company’s response. Emergency Response Plan to Criminal Acts/Medical Emergency

1. Alert emergency services immediately (dial 911).

2. In the case of a criminal act (attack, robbery, etc.) alert staff to possible danger by whatever means are available.

3. Instruct staff to remain in their office or current location until otherwise instructed by management or emergency personnel.

4. Secure the building as soon as possible to avoid another unwanted intrusion.

5. Account for staff and visitors to the building.

6. Do not move an injured person unless out of harms way.

7. Remain with any injured personnel until emergency services arrive.

8. Use first aid as appropriate.

9. Accompany the injured person to the hospital and remain there until a family member arrives (assign this to someone else if necessary).

10. Notify administration of the emergency and the company’s response. 11. Notify the emergency contact person for all employees affected as soon as possible. IV

Evacuation Plan

1. If alarms have not been sounded proceed to the nearest exterior exit and pull the pull station alarm to alert the entire building to evacuate.

2. Any person designated to keep a record of visitors to the building, needs to take the list out of the building with him/her.

3. Any person responsible for back-up tapes needs to take the tapes out of the building with him/her.

4. Evacuate the building from a nearby-unblocked exit in an orderly fashion.

5. Gather in the rear of the building unless that is the location of the crisis, then report to front of the building.

6. Report immediately any injuries to yourself or others to emergency response personnel and management, who will report the injury to the Crisis Team.

7. Report immediately any staff unaccounted for to emergency response personnel and management personnel, who will report to the Crisis Team.

8. Do not leave the gathering location unless directed by emergency response personnel/management/the Crisis Team.

9. Do not speak to the media about the crisis, the Executive Director, Alex J. Hazzouri will issue a statement.

10. If needed, another building, to be announced by the emergency response team, will house displaced employees and/or serve as the focal point for incoming and outgoing calls (headquarters).
