BGHS vs. Bullitt Central The Purples and Cougars have not met since 1987. BGHS holds a 2-0 record in the series. Bullitt Central will be in the Class 5A playoffs.

BGHS 43 South Warren 7- JR QB Beau Buchanan was 16-21-0, 336 yards, and 5 TD’s in the win over South Warren. SR WR Nash Hightower caught 7 balls for 133 yards and two scores. Ziyon Kenner, Austin Brown, and Dazhon Blakey all had touchdown receptions. The Purples took command of the game with a 21-0 run in the second quarter after the game was tied, 7-7, at the end of the first quarter. SO SS Evan Spader had 10 tackles, 1 assist, and a forced fumble. SR OLB Devan Jackson had a big night with 9 tackles, 3 assists, 2 sacks, a forced fumble. SR LB Justice Dingle chipped in with 7 tackles, 2 assists, and a fumble recovery. SO DB Vito Tisdale had 3 tackles, 1 assists, an interception, and scored a touchdown rushing on offense.

BGHS vs. Warren County Schools- BGHS is 99-13 (.884) against the schools in Warren County. After winning the innagural game against South Warren, the Purples are 1-0 against the Spartans, 38-12 when playing Warren Central, 26-0 against Greenwood, and 32-1 against Warren East...During his time at BGHS, Kevin Wallace is 59-4 (.938) against Warren County schools. BGHS Football- BGHS Football began play in 1922. Since that time, the Purples have amassed a record of 690- 333-35, which places them eighth in all-time wins in Kentucky.. The Purples are tied for 9th in state championships (6), are among only 12 schools in state history that have won three consecutive championships, and their 48-game win streak (2011-14) is the second longest in state history. Since 2011, BGHS is 91-5 (.945). In the 26 seasons since 1990, BGHS and Highlands are the only two Kentucky schools to win more than 85% of their games. JV/Freshman Football- JV - Finished the season at 2-1 with a 28-13 win over Greenwood. Five JV games were canceled for various reasons by our opponents this season. FR- Moved to 6-1 with a 20-8 victory at Owensboro. They will travel to Allen County-Scottsville on Thursday.

US Army All-American Combine- SO DB Vito Tisdale has become the second Purple ever to receive an invitation to this event. SR LB Justice Dingle was invited to the January 2017 event. Tisdale has played in the 8th and 9th grade games held in conjunction with the All-American game in each of the past two seasons.

Coach Wallace: Kevin Wallace now has 251 wins in his 22 seasons as the head coach at BGHS. Wallace is 251- 40 (.865) with the Purples and has a career record of 296-101 (.745). Wallace is tied for 10th in KHSAA state championship appearances (8) and and tied for 7th in state championships won (5). Rankings: MaxPreps ranks BGHS 2nd in Class 5A, 14th in KY, and 1193rd in the US. Bullitt Central comes in at 21st in Class 5A, 100th in KY, and 6946th in the US.
