JUNIORS AND SENIORS A college visit will be held in room 502 during flex time today for The University of Houston at Victoria. Please come to room 502 to receive a pass to attend this event.

EAST VIEW CUTS FOR CANCER The Cheerleaders will be doing a community service project for Cancer Awareness called East View Cuts for Cancer on October 7th. This is a very large project that will require big hearts from everyone. They are asking for pledges that can donate 8 inches of their own hair (unprocessed-no dyed hair) for Pantene's Beautiful Lengths. All pledges will receive a pink East View Cuts for Cancer T-shirt. Navy T-shirts will be sold and ordered for $15. Please support the East View Cuts for Cancer.

STUDENT COUNCIL NEWS AND EVENTS Wall Decorating: Monday, September 19th after school, come by and help your class compete in a wall decorating competition, classes will go head to head against each other. Each class is assigned wall space to show off their work, and creativity. P.S. Each class council is to provide materials for each wall. Homecoming Pep Rally: Wednesday September 21st at 6:30 in the main gym, the homecoming nominees will flaunt their best floats in an attempt to win the crown and your vote! Freshmen Elections: Freshmen will vote for their class officers and Student Council representatives on Monday and Tuesday, September 19th and 20th in their English classes. Officers candidates should have their campaign slide turned in to Miss Browning by the end of the day today (Thursday). Homecoming Court Election: Elections for the Homecoming Court will take place during all lunches on Tuesday, September 20th in lab 501. All EV students are eligible to vote! Make sure you vote for who you want on the HoCo court! Homecoming Dance: EV's Homecoming Dance, Vintage Carnival, will be on Saturday, September 24th from 7-11 pm. All students are invited to attend! Tickets will be on sale starting this Friday for $12 or 2 for $20. Tickets at the door will be $15. Get yours now! Homecoming Week: Next week is Homecoming! Monday during lunch, to kick off our Vintage Carnival theme, you will have the opportunity to win dance tickets through participation in various games such as the water bottle flip. Last Call for Free Freshmen T-shirts: If you are a Freshman and you still haven't gotten your free shirt, come by room 207 by the end of the week.

ART CLUB The EVHS Art club will be meeting again this year on Mondays in Room 508 from 4:15-5:30. All EVHS students and staff are welcome! You do not have to be an artist to be a member of the club. We need creative thinkers and people who want to give back to the local community in an artistic way! See you there!

FCCLA Will meet Monday, September 19 at 4:15 in room 145 (Ms. Jarcy's room) to plan the Homecoming Float. If you were not able to attend the first meeting but are interested in becoming a member or you are interested in becoming an officer of FCCLA, please come on by room 145 at any time to pick up a membership application.
