Troop/Group Cookie Chair Position Description/Agreement

Summary: The Troop/Group Cookie Chair works directly with girls and adults in troops/groups to train, order and distribute cookie materials and products. Needs to have organizational skills, keep accurate records of transactions of all money and coordinate booth sales within the troop/group. Term of Appointment: Appointed for a one-year term that is renewable upon completion of evaluation processes. Supervision: Reports to the Community Cookie Chair (CCC). Support: Receives support, guidance, and encouragement from the CCC. She/he has access to relevant learning opportunities and materials that prepare them for and supports this role and can request further assistance when necessary.

Responsibilities: Ensure that all girls are registered and have a signed Parent Permission Form prior to sale Train troop/group girls and adults in all aspects of the cookie program Distribute cookie program materials to all members of troop/group Order and distribute cookies to all troop/group members based on requests Keep accurate records of transactions with troop/group and monies deposited by troop/group Submit original orders & reports to CCC due date; follow-up with members that are delinquent with reports &/or money Provide information to assist the Community and GS of Citrus in collecting delinquent accounts Contact Community Cookie Chair to exchange cookies between troop/group Sign up for booth sales through your Community and coordinate with parents to fill booth slots  Troops must have at least one registered, paid membership, adult at each booth  All adults that participate in booth sales must be background checked Ensure accuracy of final paperwork and SNAP along with accuracy of recognitions Meet all cookie deadlines Ensure troop/group ACH information has been entered in SNAP

Additional Requirements:  Must complete a volunteer application and have a favorable background check that is to be renewed every three years  Must be a registered member of GSUSA  Supports Girl Scouts of Citrus Council’s GIFTs for Girls Campaign

Adult Learning: Girl Scouting 101 and Troop/Group Cookie Chair Training

Meetings and Reports: Troop/Group meetings before and during Cookie Program Troop/Group original cookie orders along with complete final paperwork and meet with CCC if final reports are not accurate
