Silicon Valley Leadership Group Environment Committee 2017-2019 Strategy
Mission Statement Ensure long-term environmental and business sustainability by advocating for balanced, efficient, and effective policies and programs that improve the quality of life and support business growth.
Core Areas of Committee Leadership Specifically, the Environment Committee focuses the majority of its efforts in three core areas: • Corporate sustainability – Advancing sustainable enterprise drivers to help companies save and make money in a resource constrained world. • Climate change – Supporting federal, state and regional greenhouse gas emission reduction efforts and advancing strategies that will help the region adapt to a changing climate. • Water – Ensuring the region has access to safe, clean and reliable water while protecting the environment.
