Carol discussed her dissatisfaction with Bill Graves from Mass Hockey. Scheduler – Carol Jerry discussed the inappropriateness of the parent to call FMC due to the recent scheduling mistake. Carol notes that the white book at FMC is the rule in regard to scheduling mistakes. Carol sent an email out last week to the association requesting that she be the contact person for any scheduling issues.

Carol and Kevin will work on the schedule for January. Issues are relatively ok for January, but February is worse. Issues are related to less ice time. Scheduling will be for team practices only and no group skill practices as decided by the board. If teams are wanting more ice time, they will have to find and purchase the time on their own.

Learn to Skate –Bill No issues. Session II starts January 6th.

House League – Kevin No issues.

Leagues – Todd North Star; no issues NESC; they have hired a new person to run the leagues. Todd feels that the new person is having difficulties with the job and getting used to the position. Todd will stay on top of this and report any issues to the board. Final parity move is December 10th. Todd will attend the final parity meetings.

Jerry- District 7 is attempting to start their own league. The look is to move out of NESC. There is a meeting scheduled for December 4th. It would be all local teams that are a part of District 7 that would be involved and information is not quite complete. Carol will attend and report back to the board at the next meeting or earlier if needed.

Merchandising – Michelle (not present, info via email)

Team Managers: I distributed the SYHA Calendar raffle tickets to all team managers by 11/18. I made several follow up deliveries to teams requesting additional tickets. Team managers are to have ticket stubs, $ and unsold tickets back to me by 12/20. I will get the $ to Cindy and the ticket stubs to Dave. Dave is going to have one of his employee's make the daily drawing of the winning ticket. I had a few persons asking about the "prize calendar", as it would be easier for the kids to show potential ticket buyers what prizes are available to win. Is there on yet?

Skills – Kevin Goalie clinics are going well. Future discussions on skills for next year will be needed. Skills left are Puckmasters off ice and Jeff Clark checking clinics for Squirts

Possible meeting for January needed to discuss skill issues with coaches

Coaches – Todd No new issues.

Team Managers – Michelle (not present, info via email) Merchandising: While delivering raffle tickets to team managers, I spoke with a few of them about game jerseys and mentioned the possibility of changing them next year. I met with some resistance, with a couple of them saying that "the custom shirts are nice" and that they thought "that families would resist having to buy a new shirt next year" or having 2 different shirts on the same team if everyone did not opt to purchase a new one. I thought about this, and realized that though the custom shirts are a bit of a pain, it is mostly because of the players that register at the last minute. This season we seemed to have that under control, and with the extra jerseys ordered at each size level, all worked out. Therefore, it is my suggestion that we stay with what we have. I am thinking of approaching the "skate shop man" at Lake Ave. and pleading with him to allow us to conduct jersey fittings/orders at tryouts, as clearly this is the easiest way to do this. Would it be possible to offer him a very small token of appreciation for allowing us to do this (perhaps I could offer him the monetary equivalent of what it would cost us to rent St. Mary's Hall, or Floral St. school to do the fittings/ordering)- ? Please let me know how the rest of you feel about this possibility.

Kevin and Michelle will work with the guy at the skate shop.

Equipment –Ted No issues

Mites – possible addition of the mite 3. He would have to move up within 1 week. Fee will be prorated. Plus any fees for any transitions. Squirts – No issues Pee Wee – No issues Bantam – a kid that wants to only practice. He plays in the middle school league at NESC. 6, 7 and 8th graders. Decision to go back to the head coach of the bantams. Jim will report back to the board on the decision of the coach and a price that will be prorated for the time available. $100.00 would be the amount. Midgets – No issues
