Nurse Recruiter Hospital name Hospital street address City, State, zip

Nurse Recruiter Name:

My passion for nursing stems from my desire to meet people in their most vulnerable moments and bring as much respect and dignity into that space as I can.

I am recent BSN graduate from George Fox University’s School of Nursing in Newberg, Oregon. During my time at George Fox University I spent over 800 hours in clinical rotations and 120 of those hours I worked in the Emergency Department at X Hospital in Portland, Oregon. In my ED rotation I learned that I still have a great deal to learn about the field of nursing, but most importantly I learned that I see myself thriving in the fast-paced environment that comes with ED nursing. While working in the ED I was tasked with working in the following high stress situations such as code blues, stroke scenarios, managing multiple patients in tandem, interdisciplinary teamwork with RT, physicians, nursing support staff, radiology and working with psychiatric patients. I was also trained in assessing patients in varying conditions and obtaining diagnostic labs.

As noted in my resume, I have a number of experiences in varying fields of nursing and have gained numerous skills in each of those settings. Additionally, I possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral. This skill aids me in effectively interacting with patients, physicians and healthcare team members.

Hospital name specifies superior quality and safety for patients as core to their mission and I echo this sentiment. In the past 4 years of my education I have begun to understand the necessity for nurses to have increased education, because the way physicians and nurses approach their patients is different and the nurse’s voice is equally as important as the other members of the healthcare team. I will strive to provide the most up-to-date and best practice nursing for my patients and I believe this comes from continually learning and implementing new knowledge.

I believe I would be a positive fit for this position, because I can combine my critical thinking skills, my desire to continually learn and my drive to perform to the best of my abilities.

I appreciate your time and consideration. And would welcome to meet and interview with you.

With sincerity and blessings, Graduate Nurse, BSN
