Saturday , August 19 8:00 AM- 12:00 PM New Student Move in Dimmitt, Roadman and Residence Complex Halls Open!

9:00 AM – 4:30 PM Bookstore open, lower level of Olsen Student Center. Freshman students are encouraged to purchase their books during this time (Please bring your class schedule and an ID. Copy of your schedule is in your Orientation packet.)

9:00 AM - 1:00PM Financial Aid Office Open (Lewis Hall 2nd Floor)

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM Business Office Open (Lewis Hall 1st Floor)

10:30 AM – 11:30 AM The Commuter Connection - All commuter students are required to attend this session and talk with other commuter students about life at Morningside College. Learn what M’side can offer you and how to CONNECT to your new community! UPS Auditorium, Lincoln Center

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Lunch (Wikert Dining Room, Olsen Student Center) Free for freshmen w/Morningside ID ALL STUDENTS MUST USE THEIR M’SIDE ID FOR ALL MEALS!!!

3:00 PM – 3:45 PM Family Goodbyes on your own

4:00 PM – 5:30 PM Required: BRING YOUR COMPUTER to this event. Welcome to First Year Seminar/Alternate Transition Class - meet Lillian Lopez & the First Year Advisers, then Orientation Student Assistants will take you to your First Year Seminar/Alternate Transition Class Eppley Auditorium

5:30 PM Required: Supper – Olsen Student Center Remember your Morningside ID for meals. Main dining room/Yockey Room

7:00 PM Required: Individual Residence Halls - Students meet with their respective Residence Life staff in their hall lobby

8:00 PM Required: Dan Lornitis, Hypnotist Eppley Auditorium

9:30 PM Late night activities in the residence halls; Dimmitt, Roadman, and Plex Sunday, August 20 10:00 AM Opening Worship – Buhler Outdoor Performance Center.

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Sunday brunch – Main Dining Room, Olsen Student Center Remember your ID

12:30 PM – 2:00 PM Required: English Assessment if noted in your folder Location: Lincoln Center, Rooms 105 & 107 (Bring your computer to this Assessment)

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Required: First Year Student Assessment, Walker Science Center All students must bring fully charged computer!!! Please bring a calculator if you have one.

3:30 PM – 5:00 PM Required: Morningside Olympics – Lewis Hall Green Space Meet your OSAs in First Year Seminar/Alternate Transition Class Orientation classroom Friendly competition amongst the Class of 2021

5:30 PM- 6:30 PM Required: Backyard Bash (supper) – Fountain area by Krone Advising Center Rain location – Main dining room, Olsen Student Center

9:00 – 9:30 AM Required: Technology w/ OSAs – in same classrooms as Saturday 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM Required: FYS class/Alternate Class (same classrooms as Saturday)

11:00 AM Required: Convocation – Dr. Tim Sesterhenn, speaker Location: Eppley

Noon to 1:00 PM Lunch – Olsen Student Center, main dining room

1:30 PM – 2:15 PM Required: Academic Majors & Exploring Extravaganza Eppley– Welcome by Robin Reynders, meet faculty in your intended major area, meet current students in the major and learn key points to being successful in college. Hosted by department chairs, faculty, and student leaders.

2:15 PM – 3:00 PM Required : Activities Fair – Learn what Morningside student organizations have to offer. Fountain to fountain – campus mall (rain location – HPER courts)

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM Where’s MC 221, LC 103, BR 218, CC 1 or Krone Advising Center? Tour campus to find your classes and see what’s going on. Meet at Olsen Student Center for tours.

4:30 PM – 7:00 PM Supper: Main dining room

Tuesday, August 22 7:00 AM – 9:45 AM Breakfast in Olsen Student Center

8:30 AM – 7:00 PM Bookstore Open

9:30 – 10:00 AM Required: Meet in assigned rooms as stated below at 10:00. – MUST BRING COMPUTER Q & A with Orientation staff

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Required: Meet your First Year Adviser, mandatory attendance taken
