Worcestershire Hunt Branch Pony Club Dear Member, We hope that you had a lovely Christmas and New Year break. Our online payment system is now up and running and so far we have had very few issues with it so everything looks like it is working well. It is much easier so far for the committee members and feedback received todate it would seem that it is much easier for our members too. We are currently entering all the confirmed rallies on so please keep checking on it regularly as we are adding rallies on a frequent basis at the moment.

Monday, 13th February 2017 Highfields, Adstone, Northamptonshire, NN12 8DS by kind permission of Mr & Mrs Kemp For Members aged 9-15 years These training days are great fun for all types of equestrian sports, with improvement to your balance and fitness. As well as gaining qualification to Pony Race. The day (9.15am-4pm approx.) has three sessions in the morning, Ride in indoor arena, Balance & Fitness Equipment, & Equicisors. After lunch we have a canter up the enclosed all-weather gallop. Members and their ponies will be assessed as to their ability, confidence & competence and at the end of the day will be informed by the assessor as to whether they have passed. If this is the case they will be able to use this qualification to enter a Pony Club Race days and are eligible to take part in Point-Point Pony races in 2017.

Tetrathlon 29 Jan – VWH Tri. At The Ridgeway Leisure Centre Wroughton, Swindon.

11/12 Feb – Beaufort Tet/Tri. With Showjumping at Summerhouse on the Saturday and a Tri at Westonbirt School on the Sunday. The Tri can be competed as a stand-alone event, or combined with Saturday’s riding for an Arena Tet. Please also note that the Beaufort Tet organisers and the CVFH PC SJ organisers are working together to give suitable times to anyone who wants to compete in the Beaufort Ride Phase at Summerhouse and the CVFH PC SJ at Hartpury on the same day (Sat 11th Feb). It should be workable as Beaufort will run biggest classes first and CVFH the other way round. Please make both organisers aware of your situation on the entry forms.

FINAL CALL FOR THE AREA 9 RESIDENTIAL CAMP AT PONTISPOOL

Minchinhampton PC are running a residential Event Training camp at Pontipsool from Friday 31st March to Sunday 2nd April 2017. The focus will be Event Training and is aimed for all those who compete at 80cm and above (in Eventing, Cross- County or Tetrathlon).

We have had a really good list of entries from Michinhampton, Beaufort, Berkeley, and North Cotswolds and we will be finalising the plans and rides at the end of January.

There are still some places available if anyone else would like to join. If you would like to attend then please complete the entry form (attached) and send by email to Lucy Mitford-Slade ([email protected]) as soon as possible. The deposit can follow once places have been confirmed.
