GM Operations in South America Are of Four Types

OVERVIEW http://www.gm.com/corporate/about/global_operations/south_america/index.jsp

GM South America Countries: Argentina Brazil Chile Colombia Ecuador Paraguay Peru Uruguay Venezuela

GM operations in South America are of four types:

1. A large manufacturing presence in Mercosul countries (Argentina, Brazil, and Chile), anchored by the largest subsidiary in Brazil, 2. The assembly of imported completely knocked-down vehicles in the Andean region (Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela), 3. Active intra-regional trade under the Andean Pact, 4. Sales, marketing, and aftersales operations in all countries

Brands in South America In South America, GM markets cars and trucks primarily under the Chevrolet brand…A unique exception is in Argentina where GM markets vehicles under the Suzuki and Isuzu brands as well.
