The 34th Annual Alabama TSA conference will be held on the campus of The University of Alabama, Tuesday May 1st and Wednesday May 2nd. The cost to attend will be $110.00 per person. The cost includes transportation to and from Tuscaloosa, a hotel room that four students will share, lunch both days of the trip and a t-shirt. Students will be responsible for dinner Tuesday night and breakfast Wednesday morning. Note: We will not stop for breakfast Tuesday morning when we leave.

Ground Transportation: We will be using Capitol Trailways for our transportation to to, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. 3 Capital Trailways 520 N Court Street Montgomery, Al 36104 1-334-832-4166 TSASTATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE CODE OF CONDUCT Alabama TSA wants every person to have an enjoyable experience with maximum attention on safety and comfort. Everyone will be expected to conduct himself/herself in a manner best represents this student organization. In order that everyone may receive maximum benefits from their participation, the “Code of Conduct”, as established by the National TSA Board of Directors, must be followed at all times.
1. The term “delegate” shall mean any TSA member, including advisors, attending the State TSA Leadership Conference.
2. Students having a good school record with the approval of school officials and their parents may attend the conference.
3. State and national dues must be paid by all delegates attending the conference.
4. Participant’s conduct shall be the responsibility of the Local TSA Chapter Advisor.
5. Participants shall be prompt and prepared for all activities/meetings.
6. Participants shall keep their Advisors/Directors informed of their activities and whereabouts at all times
7. Participants shall wear name badges at ALL times.
8. Participants shall not deface public property. Any damages to property or furnishings in hotel rooms or university buildings will be paid for by the individual or chapter responsible.
9. Participants from out of town shall spend the night or nights at hotels, in assigned rooms.
10. Participants shall be in their respective rooms and quiet at curfew.
11. Participants of the opposite sex will be allowed in the same hotel room only when the door remains wide (completely) open and the students involved have their advisor’s permission. Also, this will not be allowed after curfew.
12. Participants shall be prohibited from possessing or consuming alcoholic beverages, tobacco or drugs in any form other than doctor prescribed medications.
13. Student participants shall not leave the hotel unless under the supervision of their advisor/adult chaperone.
14. Participants shall attend all general sessions and activities for which they are assigned and registered
15. Participants shall adhere to the dress code at all times.
16. Conference delegates not staying at a hotel should be off the university campus immediately following the last scheduled event.
17. Delegates violating or ignoring any of the conduct rules will subject their entire delegation to being unseated and their candidates or competitive events entrants being disqualified. Curfew will be enforced.
18. Any offender will go before the TSA State Advisor immediately and letter mailed to the parent(s) and school principal involved explaining the nature of the offense. 4

Chapter and state advisors, and parents and chaperones, are responsible for seeing that all TSA student members wear official TSA attire, professional TSA attire, or business casual TSA attire as occasions may require. Official TSA attire, professional TSA attire, and business casual TSA attire are considered appropriate dress for related conference activities and public appearances. Since advisors, parents, and guests serve as role models at TSA conferences and activities, they are expected to dress appropriately for all related occasions they attend. Students must adhere to the TSA dress code requirements as listed below.
During general sessions at the state and national conference, student members must wear official TSA attire, professional TSA attire, or business casual attire. Adults should dress appropriately as well.
TSA contestants must refer to the Total TSA Competitive Events Guides for specific attire required for each competition and in the Competitive Events Attire section of the general rules.
Official TSA Attire (most formal) Blazer: navy blue with official TSA patch Ties: scarlet red imprinted with official TSA logo for males, females no longer have to wear a scarf or tie Shirt or blouse: white, button-up with turn down collar or new blue TSA dress shirt/blouse Pants or skirt: light gray Dark socks: males only (black or dark blue) Shoes: black dress shoes (unacceptable: athletic shoes, combat or work boots) Females only may wear black open toe shoes

If a participant chooses to bring items of value, he/she is responsible for their safekeeping at all times. This includes any item of monetary or personal value, including items used in competitive events. Alabama TSA, Brewbaker Technology Magnet High School nor the chapter advisor accepts no responsibility for replacement of lost, misplaced, or stolen item and will not replace such items. This policy applies to all attendees and includes the conference management team, event coordinators, and chapter advisors.
