Minutes from March 16th meeting were reviewed and approved. Old Business 1. Crosswalk at Ferry & Winter – The inquiry is progressing and has been presented to the City of Salem. 2. ADA Parking space on Mill St. by crosswalk – This space will be eliminated this summer to give pedestrians & automobiles a clearer view. New Business 1. Noise Pollution reduction idea submitted: A request from a staff member was received regarding continuous noise from landscaping equipment. The request advocates for limiting power equipment use (lawn mowers, blowers, etc.) in a way that leaves one or two days a week “noise” free in an effort to reduce noise pollution on campus for bystanders and the Grounds crew. This is not a request to reduce overall use. The staff member shared articles based on studies showing that noise can cause stress and other health issues. Also, that intermittent exposure to noise is considered to be less damaging than continuous exposure. The Committee will forward this idea to the Grounds department for consideration.

Accident/Injury Report An employee was carrying a TV and they cut and smashed their hand on the doorway when another person moved the door.
