“ It Is In Giving That We Receive” Thanksgiving Drive 2016

COR TEACHERS: Monday, November 14th, will kick-off our Thanksgiving Donation Drive. In COR Monday, please share which agency will benefit from your COR’s donations and instruct your COR what particular items they will donate.

Your COR has been assigned: Queen of Peace Residence: A home for elderly folks in financial need located in Queens Village. They need:

 Hand/Body Lotion non-  Lysol/Clorox Wipes scented  Toilet Tissue  Body Wash  Pasta  Non-Antibacterial liquid  Coffee/Tea Bags hand soap  Sugar  Paper Towels  Peanut Butter

You may choose to instruct students to bring these items themselves OR take up a collection and ask one student to be responsible for taking the collected money and purchasing donations for the class (some of you will take this responsibility on yourself, that’s great too.) Others may decide to assign specific items from the list to smaller groups or rows to ensure a good variety of items.

I recommend using the email function of your COR PowerSchool to send reminders to students & parents.

*The items collected should be placed in the box that will be provided by Campus Ministry during the week of 11/14. Your COR may choose to decorate their box for Thanksgiving. In any case, please clearly mark your COR and your assigned agency on all boxes. Additional boxes will be available beneath the COR mailboxes.

Please have your boxes ready by Monday the 21 st .

Also, please encourage your COR students to attend the Thanksgiving Liturgy on Wednesday Nov. 23rd at 8:30am in the Auditorium THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND GENEROSITY!
