Official Course Description Introduces students to performing editing routines, to subroutines, and to programs that contain loops. Students will also interpret error messages from the control.

Prerequisites or Co requisites MTT 2301 or Consent of Instructor

Required Text None.

Learner Supplies Safety glasses, 6" Steel measure, pen, paper, and a calculator.

Course Competencies 1. Use conversational programming of CNC machine tools. 2. Complete projects using the skills obtained in the classroom in work situations 3. Write a conversational program. 4. Troubleshoot the program and correct mistakes.

Grading Information Grading Rationale There will be five projects at 100 points per project

Grading Scale A 100-90% B 89-80% C 79-70% D 69-60% E BELOW 60%

Guidelines for Success ADA Policy If you have a documented disability and need any type of accommodation, you are required to register with the Disability Resource Coordinator. Attendance Policy Attendance will be taken daily. Any student who is absent for three consecutive days will have his or her named submitted to financial aid.

Late Work Policy Home work will be due the day after the assignment. No work will be accepted more than one week late.

Make-up Policy All make up work must be scheduled within three days of absence.

Withdrawal Policy Students may withdraw from a class at their discretion with a "W" prior to the completion of the eighth week of classes. This date is ____Oct. 6______. The last day for a student, at the discretion of the instructor, to officially withdraw from a class and receive a grade of "W" is ______Dec. 5______.

Critical Thinking Competency- Students will be tested on their ability to create complex part programs and their ability to trouble shoot part programs. They must be able to create a part program in the correct sequence for the program to be operational.
