June 2016

Dear Parent/Guardian,

In advance of the new school year I was just like to draw your attention to the following:

BOOKLIST - On the reverse of this note you will find your child's booklist. The booklist can also be found on the school website www.stbrigid.ie Books are available in The Wise Owl Bookshops, Easons and other bookstores or online through www.wiseowl.ie, www.schoolbooks.ie, www.easonschoolbooks.com, or www.bookhaven.ie. Please write your child's name on the outside of each book. All stationery items are available in the school shop.

ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS - In relation to the sundries items, for many years now, we have provided additional specialist lessons in Irish dancing, hip-hop dancing, gymnastics and basketball. The children really enjoy these lessons and feedback from parents is very positive. As these teachers are employed directly by the school and not by the Department of Education & Skills these lessons are paid for by the parent, together with the cost of photocopying and arts & craft materials for the year. The school will accommodate parents in the payment of this money either via instalments or as a once-off payment.

PAYMENT TO THE SCHOOL - Any payments to the school can be made by electronic transfer or cash. The school's bank account details are as follows:

Branch: AIB, Drumcondra Road, Dublin 9 IBAN: IE49 AIBK 9322 0509 0740 60 BIC: AIBKIE2D Please make sure you include your daughter’s name on the narrative in all electronic transfers.

UNIFORM - The school uniform is available from Lynch's shop in Marino and also online at www.lynchschooluniforms.com. Items such as blouses and polo shirts can be purchased in a store of your choice. Please put your child’s name on the cardigan, jumper, tracksuit top, coats, hats etc.  The Parents Association Committee (PAC) will hold the annual Jnr. Infant ONLY second-hand uniform sale in the school hall at 1.40 pm on Wednesday, 22nd June.  There will also be a FULL SCHOOL second-hand uniform sale in the school hall at 7.30pm on Wednesday 22nd June.  In addition, for your convenience, the PAC has arranged for Lynch's to sell New Uniforms in the school hall at 7.30pm on Friday 24th June

Wishing you all an enjoyable Summer. We look forward to a successful school year ahead.

Regards
