Parent Information Parents,

Only two more weeks left until Winter Break! Last week, we began our discussion about fairy tales. We learned the 5 elements of a fairy tale. Students practiced their writing skills, as they responded to questions based on traditional childhood fairy tales. In Math, we continued our chapter on division and fact families. This week, we will focus on some review in math. There will be days that students will not have math homework, as we will concentrate on review activities in class.

Vocabulary: We will not be having a vocabulary list for the next two weeks.

Fun Run Money: Please note that we continue to collect Fun Run pledges. Our PTC funds depend on how much of our pledges we collect. If you have not sent in your Fun Run pledge money, please do so.

Needed Items: boxes of tissues and pencils. We seem to be going through tissues pretty quickly. Also, we are in need of more treasure box items.

Looking Ahead:

November 30 th - December 11th PTC Canned Food Drive begins. December 17th- Grinch Day. (Please wear something Grinchy or green)/ Winter will be the Grinch Day activities\. Students may bring in goodie bags or a treat for each student (ideas: pencils, erasers, stickers, novelty toys, etc.)

Winter Break: December 21st – January 8th

Have a great week,

Mrs. Hewitson
