1. Chemotherapy Nurse A. Talk to the clinic nurses and arrange time to spend in the infusion room sometime during the block to have them (or one of their colleagues) A.i. Schedule this in advance as the clinics get more hectic and obviously are closed for parts of the holiday weeks. B. Obtain instruction and hands-on practice learning to access/de-access B.i. Central venous port B.ii. Hickman catheter B.iii. Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) C. Shadow with them to have them specifically review with you issues pertaining to the actual chemotherapy administration, their documentation, and their workflow/time demands. D. Provide the nurse with an encounter verification card to complete and return to you. E. Bring all encounter verification cards to the program administrator in the OEA affairs office

Upper right click on "Log-in/Register" C.i. Register as a STUDENT (this will provide FREE access) C.ii. Follow registration instructions D. Click on the "Courses" tab E. Click on "Online Learning Tab" F. Take courses listed under "Improvement Capability Modules" (QI 101-106 and QI 201-202) G. Print your certificates of completion and bring to the program administrator to have scanned into New Innovations.
