An Accessible Voice in Broadcasting A Connect 4 Life Training Program
This 24 week radio broadcast training program is unique in that it is the first in Canada designed for people with disabilities. It introduces students to basic radio production, the use of digital audio editing software and how to operate studio equipment, as well as the theory behind it. Students will also be introduced to on-air presentation, including news and sports writing, presentation, and accessible content.
Classes are held at the modern and fully accessible Broadcast Training Center (BTC), specializing in disability training. Our instructors have 30 years of experience in the radio broadcast field, and along with our support staff, we offer a class ratio of 5 to 1 that creates an intimate classroom experience

The history of radio and media Fundamentals of Radio Broadcasting Knowing your Environment Choosing the right words Content and story development Research Hosting/interviewing Production/Editing Using music Sports writing News writing Accessible Content Putting it all together Marketing/Advertising Sales Social Media Voices 4 Ability Disability awareness Development of Personal Portfolios Jobs in the Radio Broadcasting field
The program runs Monday through Friday for 3 hours a day. Two classes are available:
Morning session that runs 9am-12pm Afternoon session that runs from 1pm-4pm
