VACANCIES OF TEACHING STAFF IN BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES S.No Post BPS Qualification /Experience Qualification: PhD from HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field. OR Qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications fully recognised / registered by the PM&DC. PM&DC recognized level II b and level III Qualifications in respective basic subjects OR Equivalent PM&DC level II b and level III Qualifications in the respective speciality approved for teaching by SRC and recognized / registered by PM&DC. OR Qualification: PhD degree / terminal qualification in the relevant field (from an HEC recognized institution). Experience: At least 8 years Post-PhD level experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. OR Experience: 3 years teaching experience as an Associate Professor in the respective subjects. Professor OR (Anatomy, BPS-21/ 20 / 9 year teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the respective subject. 1. Biochemistry, 45 TTS / Contract OR Years Physiology, Experience: 11-years Post-PhD or minimum of 7-years of post-PhD experience along with at least 12 years of Pharmacology, experience prior to the PhD. (The experience to be counted is to be of teaching/research in a recognized Forensic Medicine, University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or Pathology) International Organization) Publications: 15 research publications in journals recognized jointly by HEC and PMDC (with at least 5 of these publications in the last five years). OR Publication: A total of at least five research applications are required. Only an original article published in a medical journal approved by the PM&DC shall be acceptable. Dissertation / Thesis shall not be counted. OR Publication: 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the past 5 years) in Journals recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher Education Commission, i.e. research papers published in Journals that fall under the category W, X and Y for Social Sciences (till 30th June 2011) while for Science disciplines papers published in only W category (Impact Factor) Journals. Qualification: PhD in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University / Institution. OR Qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications fully recognised / registered by the PM&DC. PM&DC recognized level II b and level III Qualifications in respective basic subjects OR Equivalent PM&DC level II b and level III Qualifications in the respective speciality approved for teaching by SRC and recognized / registered by PM&DC. (Community Medicine / Forensic Medicine)-Equivalent PM&DC level II a, b and level III Qualifications in the respective specialty approved for teaching by SRC and recognized / registered by PM&DC. OR Qualification: PhD Degree/ Terminal Qualification in the relevant field (from an HEC recognized Institution). Experience: 10 years teaching / research experience in an HEC recognized University or post-graduate Associate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. Professor OR (Anatomy, 5 years post MPhil teaching experience till 2014. BPS-20/19 / 40 Biochemistry, OR Years 2. Physiology, TTS / Experience: 5 years teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the relative subjects. Pharmacology, Contract OR Forensic Experience: 6-years Post-PhD or minimum of 4-years of post-PhD experience along with at least 6 years of Medicine, experience prior to the PhD. (The experience to be counted is to be of teaching/research in a recognized Pathology, University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or Community Medicine) International Organization). Publications : 10 research publications in journals recognized jointly by HEC and PMDC (with at least 4 of these publications in the last five years). OR Publication: A total of at least three research publications are required. Only an original article published in a medical journal approved by the PM&DC shall be acceptable. Or Equivalent PM&DC level II b and level III qualifications in the respective speciality approved for teaching by SRC and recognized / registered by PM&DC. (Community Medicine / Forensic Medicine)-Equivalent PM&DC level II a, b and level III Qualifications in the respective specialty approved for teaching by SRC and recognized / registered by PM&DC. Assistant OR Professor Qualification: PhD Degree/ Terminal Qualification in the relevant field (from an HEC recognized Institution). (Anatomy, Experience: a) No experience is required. 35 Biochemistry, BPS-19/18 / 3. Physiology, TTS / Contract b) 4 years teaching / research experience in a recognized University or a Post-graduate institution or Years Pharmacology, professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. Forensic OR Medicine, Experience: 2 year teaching experience as demonstrator before or after level II b. No experience is required for Pathology, level III post graduation who can be appointed directly as Assistant Professor. Community (Community Medicine / Forensic Medicine)- 3 year teaching experience as senior lecturer experience before Medicine) or after level II b. No experience is required for level III post-graduation who can be appointed directly as Assistant Professor. Publication: No publication is required. OR Publication: No publication is required. OR Publication: For PhD degree holders from Pakistan the Registrar must certify that the PhD thesis was evaluated by two foreign Experts as per HEC guidelines for award of PhD degree, in case foreign evaluation was not done then the candidate must provide evidence of two publications in Journals recognized by the HEC. 1. Only Sindh domiciled are eligible. 2. Application should be sent along with two photographs, one set of attested photocopy of relevant documents in a sealed envelop, with three current referral letters and brief curriculum vitae. 3. Incomplete application in any manner will be rejected. 4. All information will be kept confidential. 5. In case of larger number of candidates for any post, a Pre Interview Test (MCQ) will be held to short list the Candidates. 6. Please clearly mention the name of post on the right top of envelop. 7.
