Centering Prayer for Women’s Circle
Feminine Divine, We know that when sisters gather together forming sacred circles, the wind, breath, spirit blows . . . and . . . seeds are scattered, and nurturing happens even when we are unaware. There is undeniable power in the shape of a circle; circles collect and focus energy. We sit facing one another, mirroring one another, no one higher than the other. We are women facing inward, looking inside our true, authentic, naked selves. The roundness of our circle reflects the roundness of our bodies. There is no outward diversion, the world is silenced; and we are focused on one another, ourselves, and on You. We sit facing you God, facing each other, for the spark of divine, which is You, breathes and lives within each of us. ~adapted by Elizabeth Keller from Sacred Circles

Words of Meditation & for Journaling
“When a woman begins to be aware of the divine spark within, she will soon be faced with a decision whether to honor and to trust it . . . She is so accustomed to looking outside herself for authority that the realization of God within us is radical and shattering. It changes everything.” Wendlyn Alter, The Yang Heart of Yin

Our God is our Mother. She created us in Her image, held us on Her breast; caressed us tenderly. Brushed our hair, touched our faces, and soothed our bodies. Our Mother God has given us blood and flesh, breath and life. Bless Her holy name! Let us pass the bread of heaven and the cup of new life.
