• 3-year, EPSRC-funded CASE award in Intelligent Control of Large-Scale Systems. This involves PI Ltd, British Gas Transco and MOBIL. The research involves intelli- gently controlling industrial equipment that cannot be controlled by conventional methods. £60,000. • TCS (Teaching Company Scheme) with Viasystems, North Tyneside. £120K. • TCS with Seven Layer Communications Limited, South Queensferry. TCS Program- ming No. 2966. Development of high-speed configurable networking test equipment. £60,000. • TCS with Justfone plc. Java development for mobile computing using GSM. £120,000. • TCS with Canan. June 2001. Development of a multimedia system for minority lan- guages, such as Scots and Irish Gaelic.
