USATF NM ASSOCIATION MEETING MINUTES August 21, 2014

Meeting Called to Order: 7:12

Meeting Minutes: No quorum was present to vote on past 2 meeting minutes.

President Report: Been a privilege working with the Association and appreciate the opportunity with such a great group of people.

Treasurer Report: No Report

Membership Report: No Report

Secretary Report: No Report

Public Relations/Media: No report

Committee Reports: Equipment: Association is in need of a new equipment chair.

Budget and Audit: No report

Masters: Brian stated that at the Association workshop he talked to Norm Wayne from legal for the Masters indoor in 2016, and resubmitting paper work for JO CX.

Mens/Womens T&F: No report

LDR: Marathon championship in Las Cruces, in September. ½ Marathon results should be posted on website and also post future races for Master races.

Cross Country: There has been a change in the meet schedule. Cuba meet is still in question, will fees from last year and this year be paid, and if so how. Los Lunas has moved their meet to Oct 12, and the Cougar meet has moved to Nov 1. Albuquerque Academy has been procured for the State Association meet, on November 15.

Youth: No report

Club Membership: No report

Race Walking: No report

Officials: No report

Medical: No report

Coaching education: No report Old Business: None

New Business: Brian stated that Bobby Erickson is going to work on Youth state records. Wanting a record progression list. When there is a quorum, it is needed to be decided as to what we do with state records that have a time, but no other data, what do we do with those.

From USATF, Herseys no longer running meet, they are giving money to USATF for a Run, Jump Throw program/clinic. The athletes would be members for one day and would therefore be covered by insurance for that day. There will be a packet sent out with information. Could be an opportunity for smaller communities/towns to maybe generate interest.

Shortly after 9/1, we will receive a short/consice/brief manual on branding and logos.

The safe sport program certification program for hazing/abuse/sexual abuse is coming down the pipe. This will affect coaches, club administrator, officials and will still need the background check, as well as the safe sport program.
