C O N T R A C T

Contract between the European Committee Volleyball for Disabled ("ECVD") and the Local Organising Committee – (“LOC”).

Contract between the European Committee Volleyball for Disabled ("ECVD") and (“LOC”) the undersigned declare: whereas

- the championships are the exclusive property of the WOVD (World Organization Volleyball for Disabled), which owns all rights over their organization and over their transmission and reproduction by any means whatsoever.

- WOVD has delegated its authority to develop conduct and control all European official competitions to the European Committee Volleyball for Disabled (ECVD), which is a standing committee of the WOVD.

- the LOC has submitted its candidacy to organize and conduct the European Championships Sitting Volleyball Men and Women 2011 in conformance with the rules and regulations of the WOVD and the ECVD.

- the LOC has replied satisfactorily to the checklist for the organization of the competitions, still subject to ECVD on location inspection.

- The ECVD, on basis of the above, has awarded the European Championships Sitting Volleyball Men and Women 2011 to the country of The Netherlands.

IT IS HEREBY AGREED:

Article 1: The ECVD grants a concession to NeVoBo to organise the competition in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The Organizer accepts the above-mentioned concession and agrees that the competition will be able to allow for at least 28 teams: 16 Men’s and 12 Women’s. These numbers may be larger if facilities and time allow.

Article 2: The LOC abides by the Rules and Regulations lay down in the ECVD handbook. Any significant amendment to the above-mentioned handbook must be discussed between the ECVD Sport Department and the Organiser in advance.

Article 3 : The competition will be held in the city of Rotterdam, Netherlands from 8th to 15th October, 2011.

Article 4: INSURANCE The LOC shall provide adequate proof of general liability insurance and agrees to indemnify the ECVD and WOVD against any possible claims (third-party risks).

Article 5: FINANCES The LOC has full financial responsibilities for the costs of the competitions and indemnifies the ECVD against any possible charges.

Section 0e28de96832f46b3052c4c2a000f0f5b.doc – Page 2 Article 6: FEES TO BE COLLECTED BY THE LOC FOR PARTICIPATION IN European Championships : a. A Board and Lodging Fee fixed to a maximum of € 75 per day , per participating delegation- member of each team for the duration of the competition. b. A Team Entry Fee, the amount of which is to be determined, but no more than €1000. c. A security deposit of €600 per team. The security deposit must be paid back at the latest at departure. ECVD Technical delegate shall approve any retaining of the deposit.

Article 7: FEES TO BE COLLECTED BY ECVD:

a. A team Registration Fee for each entered team of €750. b. A team Referee travel Fee for each entered team of €500

Article 8 a. The LOC has to bear the board and lodging for:

- 1 Technical Delegate (= T.D.) to supervise the tournament - 1 Assistant Technical Delegate. - 4 Jury members - 1 ERC Referee Delegate - 1 ERC Assistant Referee Delegate - 2 ERC Referee observers - 2 WOVD Medical Classifiers (Names of those International Technical Officials to be confirmed by the ECVD Sport Department, in coordination with the ERC (European Referee Commission) and the ECVD Classification Commissioner) - all ECVD Committee members (names to be confirmed by the ECVD Sport Department) who will hold official positions at the tournament and/or ensure in the competition location the progress of contacts with delegation officials, trainers, players, referees, etc. for the promotion of our sport to which all present parties are very attached. b. Per diem for the appointed referees and nominated officials of € 50 per person from arrival to departure, inclusive (or its equivalent for up to 50% of the concerned amount). c. Travel, board and lodging costs for the pre-inspection, 2 - 6 months before the events, by the ECVD Sport Department. d. Board and lodging of all entered teams and all referees and the local transportation (see point 12.2 and 12.3) e. The LOC shall provide for the exclusive use of ECVD, two meeting rooms (20 m2 each) for the duration of the tournament: - one at the location of lodging; - one at the sports venues. They should offer: one table, six chairs and refreshments (water + coffee/tea). f. The organiser shall provide for exclusive use of ECVD a computer with a printer, internet DSL connection with minimum Explorer 6.0, video projector and necessary meeting equipment. g. The LOC shall provide the ECVD with a schedule for a minimal "Board and Lodging" package (on a daily basis) for guests invited by the ECVD. h. All equipment supplied by ECVD (directly or indirectly) remain the property of ECVD after the Championship.

Section 0e28de96832f46b3052c4c2a000f0f5b.doc – Page 3 Article 9: ACCOMMODATION The local sport venues and accommodations should be inspected and approved by the ECVD Sport Department. All facilities should be reasonably close together and accessible to all disabled persons, especially wheelchairs users.

Article 10: CLINICS To take advantage of the favourable training and instruction possibilities offered on location during the major European tournaments, ECVD for its own needs (or on behalf of WOVD) may request the LOC to facilitate the staging of clinics for trainers or medical classifiers or candidate referees. In this event, the LOC will bring its full support so that such clinics can take place in optimal conditions (material, rooms, audio-video equipment, etc.). Timing and financial conditions (participants, entry fees, lecturers fees, ECVD conditions) will be determined, case by case and exclusively between ECVD Sport Department (on behalf of WOVD) and the LOC. ECVD for the protection of the LOC remain at all times the exclusive counterpart of the LOC for any negotiations. ECVD will not be bound by any direct agreement between the LOC and the WOVD.

Article 11: PROPAGANDA AND ADVERTISING The LOC may use the emblem of the WOVD or ECVD for publicity. Any use of these emblems for commercial purposes shall be submitted via ECVD to the WOVD/ECVD in advance for approval. If permission to use the emblems for publicity has been granted by the WOVD, the LOC will protect the emblem according to the law of its country for the benefit of the WOVD/ECVD, in order to avoid any improper use thereof. During the Championship and for the period of its preparation the ECVD/WOVD is authorized to exploit the official emblems on all badges, sports-wear, posters, objects and documents which it designs, creates, publishes or reproduces for the purpose of the ECVD/WOVD. The ECVD/WOVD may appoint for the concerned period of the competition a commercial agent who shall carry out his functions in collaboration with the LOC.

Article 12 GUARANTEES The LOC guarantees the following: 1. there are not any laws, regulations or customs, that would limit, restrict or interfere with the competition in any way or the entry-visas of the participants; 2. to cover the costs of board and lodging of all entered teams, the ECVD Committee members, the appointed referees and tournament officials (Jury, Judge Referee and Official Classifier), as described in article 8. 3. to supply a convenient transport system from the International Port of Entry to the accommodation and between the accommodation and sport venue(s). a. For individuals or Teams arriving after the Official Arrival Day, the LOC may choose to provide transport from the International Port of Entry, but is not obliged to do so and may charge for this. b. If LOC chooses not to arrange transport for late-comers, then they must arrange travel from the International Port of Entry at their own expense. 4. to pay to the Technical Officer, the day before the start of the competition, the per diem of the ECVD Committee members, the Technical Officers and the appointed referees. 5. to organize the ceremonies and the prizes (to all participating teams), for which they will provide ECVD, ahead of time with detailed schedules and lists. Seating must be provided for all athletes during the ceremonies. 6. to prepare trophies for all participating teams. 7. to prepare medals in GOLD, SILVER, BRONZE, to all team members on the teams from 1st to 3rd place. 8. to prepare diplomas for all participating team members and officials. 9. The only and sole rights to the WOVD/ECVD to promote and sell articles.

Any amendment of the articles in this contract or in the BID book shall require the approval of the Board of the ECVD.
