Engagement with the course

You are expected to know when your assignments are due and what they entail (i.e. to know what components you must complete and hand in).

An overview of each assignment will be given in-class so you know what is expected. If you missed an overview or you do not understand the assignment it is YOUR responsibility to find needed info from the teacher or a friend.

**Please note that all assignments are worth something so therefore all assignments are important and should be given the full attention and effort they require to achieve a mark of a level four.

Work Ethic

I expect that you will try your best, that you will do all your work, do it on time, and that you will do it well. I hold high expectations for my students. Marks have to be earned.

Attendance

You are expected to attend every class during the specified times at lunch hour, as well as every class you have in your peer leadership placement.

Late or Missed Assignments

You must speak to your teacher in advance of due dates if you cannot hand an assignment in on the designated date due. You must have a valid reason (i.e. medical note, or parental note) otherwise you will be docked late marks (3% for the first day and 2% percent everyday thereafter).

If you miss a class, it is your responsibility to check in with the teacher/wiki /classmates about missed work when you return to class.

If your assignment is late, your second opportunity to hand in the assignment is the first day you are back in class. If you do not hand in your work then, your opportunity is given the day after you return to class. It is your responsibility to check in with the teacher/wiki/classmates about missed work when you return to class. Also, after the second opportunity is given, is at the discretion of the teacher as to whether it will be accepted.
