Mr. Roth’s AP Human Geography Winter Break Packets

Dear Wonderful AP Scholars, It is officially winter break! You have worked very hard in AP Human Geography and you have made tremendous progress over the last five months. The AP test is fast approaching and we cannot afford to stop working over winter break. Remember the more work you put into this class, the more you will grow as students and scholars. There are three assignments that make up this winter break packet. I expect you to spend about one hour each day over break working on AP Human Geography.

Assignment 1: Annotate the attached reading on Unit 4: Political Geography. Remember, when annotating you should: (1) Underline or highlight only the most important material (2) Circle words you don’t know (3) Write notations in the margins. -Ask questions -make connections

Assignment 2: Make grademakers for each vocabulary word. The master list of vocabulary words can be found on the third page of this packet. I made the first page of grademakers for you, but you must make all subsequent pages. If you can fit 8 vocabulary words on each grademaker page, you should have about 9 pages of vocabulary words. Remember the best thing you can do to prepare for the Unit 4 test is to memorize vocabulary.

Assignment 3: Memorize the vocabulary words in this chapter. You will have a quiz over the words on Tuesday
