All-Terrain Vehicle Draw Proceeds to Benefit AGH Emergency Department

All-terrain vehicle draw proceeds to benefit AGH Emergency Department

March Road Motorsports President Jeff Robertson has a soft spot in his heart for the Almonte General Hospital (AGH) Emergency Department. As a father of four sons, including two who are competitive off-road athletes, it is only natural that Jeff and his family have been treated in the ER on a number of occasions by physicians and nurses.

“We have always had tremendous service and support,” said Jeff. “They even know you by name. The facilities at the Almonte General Hospital are second to none. The Hospital is one of the main assets of Mississippi Mils and should be at the top of the priority list for all residents.” As the owner of a new business at 4692 March Road, Jeff is holding a draw for a Terralander all- terrain four wheeler vehicle. Only 2,000 tickets will be sold, at $10 each, with the proceeds going to help purchase a piece of essential equipment for the Hospital’s Emergency Department. Tickets will be available at the Ottawa Boat and Sportsmen Show at the Ernst & Young Centre by the Ottawa International Airport from February 21-24, 2013. They will also be sold at the 13th Annual Valley Hunting and Fishing Show in Carp from April 5-7, 2013.

“All tickets will be sold,” said Jeff. “With only 2,000 tickets the odds of winning are pretty good. Then we will write a cheque for the Almonte General Hospital.” Jeff, who is the former owner of J. R.’s Restaurant, has invested in a 7,200-square-foot building on March Road just west of Almonte. Besides his own business, Jeff has attracted two other businesses from other communities – MGM Custom Millwork and SMR Electric – to the building. Tickets for the draw can also be purchased by visiting the March Road business or by calling 613-256-6686.

“The Almonte General Hospital is one of the gems in Mississippi Mills,” said Jeff.
