Thanks for your interest in trading at The Green Gathering 2017. In recent years we've received more applications than we could accommodate; we will be prioritising ethical and innovative traders, and will be running a Green Gathering Traders' Award scheme again!
It is vital for site planning that we know the dimensions of your stall including vehicles, towbars, displays, awnings, tents etc. Pitches are individually priced, based on stall type, stall frontage and staff tickets, not on overall pitch size – so you can afford to be honest (but please don't be greedy)!
Please note: you must bring your own sturdy stall structure and renewably-sourced power.

You don't need to list every single item – but be sure to include main items, themes of style/country of origin etc.

Do you use any packaging? If yes, of what materials? In what additional ways would your stall enhance our festival?

Check-list: please confirm that you have enclosed, attached or linked to - 1. Photos of your stall 2. Your ethical policy 3. Your risk assessment (to include risk from fire and structural instability) 4. Public liability insurance document (& employer's liability if you have staff)
Please note that numbers 3 and 4 are required by the local Health / Safety authorities – who may request them from us pre-event, and again from you on site. Y ou will not be allowed to trade without providing these documents.
You must also have current PAT-test stickers on any electrical appliances you use on your stall.
GREEN TRADING STANDARDS
We aim to showcase, in our Green Gathering markets, the very best of ethical trading. Our Green Trading Standards are highlighted in the Trading Conditions on the following page.
All traders will be entered into the 2017 Green Gathering Trader Awards. The most ethical caterer and the most ethical non-food trader will each win a 50% discount on the following year's pitch.

Stall allocations will occur from February 1st
Successful applicants will be invoiced by mid-February, pitch fees & bonds will be due by March 31st. Late entries of particularly interesting stalls may be accepted, but may be charged a higher pitch fee.

TRADING CONDITIONS for THE GREEN GATHERING 2017: Non Food Traders
1. Traders agree to co-operate with organisers and security. Organisers reserve the right to allocate stalls at their discretion, and to close down any stall that does not conform to the event regulations.
2. Traders may not sub-let any part of their stall or trading pitch.
3. Traders must arrive before the event on Mon, Tue or Wed 10am-8pm, to start trading Thu at noon.
4. Traders must remain on site until at least 7am on Mon after the event; and be off site by Tue eve.
5. No petrol, diesel or bio-fuel generators may be brought onto site. You must be self-reliant in renewably-sourced electrical power.
6. All entertainment / sound systems at GG must be authorised by the organisers. Very low level background music will be permitted, provided the sound does not project outside your own stall.
7. All Traders must abide by all Health & Safety / Environmental Health requirements, including: All traders must have adequate fire extinguishers with current inspection date. All structures, drapes & décor must be certified fire retardant. All structures must be sturdy and safe in wind and rain. All electrical appliances must be PAT-tested with current PAT-test stickers. All gas appliances must be certificated by a Gas Safe registered engineer. All traders must have public liability insurance, health and safety policy, and risk assessment.
8. Non-Food Traders may not sell: tobacco, drugs, 'legal highs' or alcohol food and/or drinks, except by individual arrangement with Markets' Co-ordinator at time of booking peat-based products non-rechargeable batteries products potentially made in 'sweatshops' or made from unsustainably-harvested wood weapons, replica weapons racist, pornographic or other offensive material flares, 'chinese lanterns', fireworks
9. Traders should not buy to resell from large multinational corporations or mainstream supermarkets.
10. Traders must keep the area around their pitch free of litter, and leave the pitch clean and tidy. Check in at Trader HQ prior to leaving, so your pitch can be inspected.
11. Vehicle movements must be kept to a minimum. Once parked on site, movement of vehicles will not be permitted except in case of emergency - if you have no choice but to move you must inform the Markets' Co-ordinator or Security to arrange an escort through site.
12. You must inform the Markets' crew of any deliveries expected.
13. The Green Gathering will take all reasonable steps to ensure the festival goes ahead and is well attended, but is not responsible for adverse weather events or acts of deities.
14. Traders who abide by the Trading Conditions will be offered £50 pitch fee rebate post-festival.
