How long is the day? Does it have seasons? If so, what are they like? How far is it from Earth? How does the gravity differ from on Earth? What interesting sights are on the planet? What would be needed to survive on this planet?
- Picture of a human colony on the planet (can use a program like TuxPaint, etc.) Includes captions to explain picture Creative – can include fictitious elements Explains these conditions on the planet and gives solutions for them: Temperature Gravity Atmosphere Lack of water Sources of food Housing/shelter Transportation Recreation
- News report of the discovery of the planet (Photo Booth or iMovie) Acted out as a news story Describes the following: When the planet was discovered and by whom Where it is located How long the day and year are How big it is (mass and diameter) Its composition and appearance What its atmosphere is like How the gravity differs from Earth If it has moons and/or rings
- Jeopardy game (use Smart Notebook file in the Gaggle Digital Locker) Neatly typed All spaces have questions Questions are relevant and accurate You understand directions for play and can lead the game Questions should relate to the following:
The Planet's Name Position in the Solar System Rotation and Orbit Size Gravity Atmosphere Temperature Composition and Appearance Moons/Rings - Children’s book (on Tikatok.com – see me for account) Creatively written – can include some fiction Spelling and grammar are correct Includes pictures on each page Describes the basic facts of the planet:
