1. Lloyd Register’s Thickness Measurement version 3.1 is an updated version to comply with the legal changes which Lloyd Register has undergone. Below is the summary of the updates included in this version:  The general particular form in TM Software requires consistency on format of the General Particular form in LRForms2 software;  Disclaimer clause has been included in all Forms in TM software;  The International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) has introduced new reporting requirements, which requires creation of 2 new forms, namely Form 5b and Form 7b. 2. TM version 3.1 is an upgrade of TM version 3.0 so it’s a MUST that version 3.0 is installed and working properly on the machine. 3. TM data created from version 3.0 and converted into 3.1 will be converted to its version 3.1 format. Access database structures not found in earlier versions are modified to take advantage of new features in the software. It is recommended that once a TM report is used in v3.1, that it is not be used in older versions of TM otherwise some information may be lost. Users are advised to copy and retain TM reports created on earlier version, as considered necessary. 4. Important: Before installing TM version 3.1, you MUST install isscipt9.msi on your computer otherwise the TM install script will not run. To install this, select isscript9.msi from the CD and double-click to install. 5. To install TM v.3.1 select “LR - ThickMes v3.1.msi” from the CD supplied and double-click to install. The icon ‘Thickness Measurement’ will be updated into ‘Thickness Measurement v3.1’. Full instructions on how to use LR’s Thickness Measurement, including the new features, and software maintenance procedures are listed in the user guide. It is best viewed using Microsoft Word or WordPad. 6.
