Overview of the Community Volunteer—Team Event Planner The success of Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep is dependent on the proactive team-build ing nature of our Community Volunteers (CV). Depending on the position you are most qualified for, will determine whether you report directly to the Area Coordinator in your community or to a staff member at the NILMDTS Headquarters office.
Reports to Local Area Coordinator
Specific Job Functions of the Team Event Planner Write thank you notes for local NILMDTS event supporters and volunteers
Plan get-togethers meetings for local team members (i.e.—locate venue, event invitations, event logistics, etc.)
Coordinate tie-in events (i.e.—March of Dimes, pregnancy loss walks, etc.)
Promote and assist with NILMDTS-based fundraisers (i.ee—Charity Model Search, local remembrance walks, etc.)
Plan and implement activities for Nurse’s Appreciation Week
Plan and schedule local informational events for photographers and recruitment interest
Plan and schedule parent events (i.e.—holiday ornaments, memory scrapbooking, coffee & chat)
Required Experience and Skills Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills Outstanding organizational leadership skills Effective and time-efficient communication
Time Commitment Expected hours of volunteer time commitment ranges between 20-30 hours per month; hours of actual coordination may vary.
