MEET SCHEDULE: Time Finals events (tentative schedule): 3:40 PM Doors open 4:00–5:20 PM Warm-ups AM Session 5:10 PM Timers’ meeting 5:30 PM Session begins

ELIGIBILTY: 1. All currently rostered USA Swimming swimmers that are Windy City members are eligible for the Windy City Championship. 2. Only swimmers who have not achieved an ISI championship qualifying time will be eligible for the meet. However, if a swimmer, for example, has one Regional cut, they may swim in the meet, but not in that qualifying event. 3. Once entries have been received, a warm-up schedule will be assigned based on the number of swimmers per team and the distance traveled to Northside College Prep High School. 4. This is a positive check-in meet.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Coaches shall instruct their swimmers regarding safety guidelines and warm-up procedures as they apply to conduct at the meet. Coaches with credentials shall be on deck during warm-ups and shall actively supervise their swimmers throughout the entire warm-up session. There shall be no diving from the shallow end. Diving off of the blocks during warm-ups is permitted only for one-way sprints. ENTRY PROCEDURES: Entries must be submitted by Wednesday July 17, 2013. The enclosed attached summary form, release and hold harmless statement, and all entry fees must accompany all entries. The preferred method for entries is e-mail. Please e-mail entries to [email protected] by 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 17, 2013. Entries received early may be updated by this time as well. Payment, forms, a hard copy of your entry and your disk must be received no later than the beginning of the meet for e-mailed entries. Handwritten entries are due by the original date of Wednesday July 17, 2013. Team Manager print outs of the individual entries must be sorted by name. All entries must be delivered to the entry chair: Ed Stranc Jr. 1421 W. Berwyn Chicago, IL 60640 Entries sent over-night must be marked so as to waive a signature of the recipient.

The entry fee is $4.00 per individual event, $7.00 per relay, and $50.00 facility team fee plus a $2.00 per swimmer ISI surcharge. Checks made payable to the Northside Aquatics Club.

RELAYS: Relays will be swum as time permits. This will be determined after all entries are received and session time is set.

ADMISSION FEE: Adults $3.00. Students, non-participating swimmers, and those 5 and over $1.00. Heat sheets will be available at the admissions table for $ 2.00.

LOCKER ROOMS: Swimmers may use locker rooms to change and shower. However, personal items are not to be stored in lockers.

FOOD: Food will be available throughout the evening in the concession area. No food will be allowed on the deck at any time.

SWIMMER CONDUCT: All swimmers must remain in authorized areas during the meet. Parental supervision of swimmers in the locker room, holding area, is expected. Any misconduct or inappropriate actions by a swimmer may result in the immediate expulsion of the swimmer from the meet. This action will be at the discretion of the Meet Referee ad the Meet Director.

SMOKING: The Northside College Prep HS is a No Smoking facility.

MEDICAL: Medical personnel will be available for the duration of the meet.

SCORING: The meet will be scored through 12 places as indicated by the USA Technical Swimming Rules. AWARDS: Awards are presented for the 1st through 12th place in all events. All swimmers in 10 & under free and back events will receive an award.

MEET TIMERS: Please notify your swimmers’ parents that they will have responsibility for timing. Timing assignments will be made proportionate to the number of entries to the meet. Teams may staff their lanes as they choose.

OFFICIALS: All officials are welcome to work the meet. Please check-in with the meet referee.

In consideration of being permitted by the Northside Aquatics Club and Northside College Prep High School to participate in the Windy City 2013 Summer Conference Championship Swim Meet, and for other good and valuable consideration, the undersigned, for himself or herself, his successors and assigns, hereby releases and forever discharges the Northside Aquatics Club and Northside College Prep High School, its Parents Association, and its Board of Directors, its officers, employees, members, successors and assigns, and all other persons in any way connected with the event, from any liabilities, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action of whatever kind or character arising out of or in connection with said event. Further, the undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless the Northside Aquatics Club, its Parents Association and Board of Directors, Northside College Prep High School, employees, and members of the forgoing, and all other persons connected in any way with the event, from any and all injury, including death, or alleged injury, or damage or alleged damage to property sustained or alleged to have been sustained in connection with or to have risen out of said event.
