Responses to Written Questions

Q1) In regards to the Single Audit, does the County expect additional programs or changes to the amount of grant awards compared to previous year? A1) Changes to programs or grant award amounts are possible but are not known at this time.

Q2) Has a similar contract been awarded previously? A2) Yes. The current contract is being rebid again.

Q3) Who is the current incumbent? A) Macias, Gini & O’Connell is the current contractor.

Q4) Can the County provide the number of years the incumbent has been providing auditing services to the County? A) Macias, Gini & O’Connell has been providing audit services to the County for approximately 10 years.

Q5) Will there be an option to extend the contract after 3 years? A) Yes. The initial contract term for RFP No. 901485 will be for three years, with the option to extend for two additional years.

Q6) Did the current contract have an option for extension? If yes, was it exercised? A) The current signed contract did not have an option for extension.

Q7) Page 11 of the RFP, Section F (EVALUATION CRITERIA/SELECTION COMMITTEE), states:

The final maximum score for any project is 550 points, including the possible 50 points for local and small, local and emerging, or local preference points (maximum 10% of final score).

However, the points in the evaluation criteria section only add up to 100 points. Can the County explain the discrepancy? A) A total of 100 points scored at the highest rating of 5 would result in a weighted score of 500 total points plus possible addition of 5% for being a SLEB and another 5% of total score for meeting the definition of local firm for a final maximum total of 550 points. Page 11 of the RFP, Section F (EVALUATION CRITERIA/SELECTION COMMITTEE), states:

Each of the Evaluation Criteria below will be used in ranking and determining the quality of bidders’ proposals. Proposals will be evaluated according to each Evaluation Criteria, and scored on the zero to five-point scale outlined below. The scores for all Evaluation Criteria will then be added, according to their assigned weight (below), to arrive at a weighted score for each proposal. A proposal with a

high weighted total will be deemed of higher quality than a proposal with a lesser- weighted total. The final maximum score for any project is 550 points, including the possible 50 points for local and small, local and emerging, or local preference points (maximum 10% of final score).

Q8) What is the allotted budget for RFP No. 901485? A) Funding requests for the audit services solicited through RFP No. 901485 will be included in future fiscal year budget submissions.
