The Role of Sales Project: Sales and being able to sell is an important part of marketing. During this assignment you will be asked to play the role of a marketer and an investor.

Marketer Role Play: You are playing the role of a marketing consultant. Your number one goal is to gain NEW CUSTOMERS. You are to choose a company that offers the product in your specific scenario. Based off of that company’s product you are going to come up with a way to acquire NEW CUSTOMERS. You are to develop a presentation with a minimum of 6 slides. BE CREATIVE and SPECIFIC! This will be done on Google Drive folder that you already shared with me ([email protected]).

Investor Role Play: While you are watching the presentations, you and your group will be investors. You have up to $75,000 dollars to invest in a group of consultants. I will also have $75,000 dollars to invest in the ideas as well. Your job is to convince the investors to spend the most amount of money on your services. You will decide which group has the most potential and invest accordingly. The group with the most money invested in will be rewarded with the best grade. Spend your money wisely because once you run out you are done.

1. The owner of a newly established lawn service wants to find homeowners and commercial property owners who need lawn care.

2. A sales representative for a new uniform manufacturer must find retailers and wholesalers who sell uniforms to medical, postal, restaurant, police, fire, and hotel personnel.

3. A sales representative for a copier company needs to find new customers each month to reach expected sales quotas.

4. A professional photographer is constantly looking for new customers.

5. A new professional football franchise is looking to increase customer awareness

6. The owner of a nearby restaurant is looking for ways to increase the amount of customers it currently has.

7. Live auction Fundraising: A business has a secure high priced, sentimental items (pizza parties, new class books, a classroom iPad) to be auctioned off one evening and have guests compete for the highest bid.

8. A new creative TV/internet company is looking for ways to design an advert for a social networking site.

9. An owner of a design team that makes and sells trainers has come up with the idea of making holiday sandals with a thinner trainer style sole with air support included. Business is trying to increase awareness of this style.
