Pre-Nursing Work side-by-side with the nursing staff and determine if this challenging career is for you. Be exposed to a variety of settings within the hospital. Pre-Med Observe and interact with physicians and discover which field you enjoy the most. Pre-Physical Therapy Work with physical therapists, become a restorative aid and ambulate patients throughout the hospital or spend time in Physical Rehab. 1) You must be at least 18 years old

2) You must be enrolled, accepted to or graduated from an accredited college or university

3) Immunizations: a. Hepatitis B Series: Completed the three-shot series or in process (first shot received) b. MMR: Must have two shots over the course of your lifetime c. TB Test (negative): TB tests are done via blood draw through Corporate Health at PPH; free of charge for those who are accepted into the program d. Varicella: Must have Titer (blood draw) or Doctors note stating immunization to Varicella (chicken pox) e. Tetanus Shot: Show proof of shot within last 10 years or have a Tetanus shot waiver

4) CPR: Before you can attend training* you must have current certification from either American Heart Association or American Red Cross which covers Adult, Infant and Child CPR *Pending acceptance into the program- It is a good idea to be CPR certified regardless!

5) Must have an active e-mail account (checked at least twice weekly)- Preferably not a school account

6) Must be able to volunteer 4 hours per week

7) Must be able to make minimum one-year commitment

8) You must attend the mandatory 3-day training on the following dates:

Saturday, May 3rd 2008: 9:00AM - 5:30PM Sunday, May 4th 2008: 9:00AM - 5:30PM Saturday, May 10th 2008: 9:00AM - 5:30PM
