TO: CHAPTER PRESIDENTS, Your attention is invited to the following list of 6 AFROTC Detachments and 76 AFJROTC Units assigned to the 15 Air Force Association (AFA) Chapters in Florida. These units were assigned to their nearest AFA Chapters to enhance recognition, grants, awards, scholarships and aerospace educational opportunities offered by AFA and local Chapters to PASs, APASs, SASIs, ASIs, AFROTC and AFJROTC Cadets. Your assistance is requested in reviewing the following document and in bringing to my attention any errors, additions, deletions or suggestions to improve the informative and functional value of this document. Hopefully, the leadership of your AFA Chapter will continue to develop and implement viable programs which will cultivate interest and substantially enrich and expand the aerospace educational opportunities offered to cadets assigned to all AFROTC Detachments and AFJROTC Units in Florida.
I strongly suggest you invite to your Chapter meetings and functions the cadres and cadets of the AFROTC Detachment and AFJROTC units in your chapter area and involve them in as many chapter activities as possible. Do not hesitate to visit your AFROTC/AFJROTC units and be ready to prepare and submit Letters of Commendation or Appreciation to the State Commissioner of Education, County Superintendent of Schools, School Principals, Community Leaders and the AFROTC/AFJROTC leadership at Maxwell AFB, any time a PAS, APAS, SASI, ASI or a cadet excels in the performance of his/her Aerospace Education Training. Presentation of commendatory documents should take place during appropriate public ceremonies before the peers of the recipients. Widest media coverage of notable aerospace education performance is highly recommended. Please send me copies of your congratulatory letters and press releases for additional recognition and further publicity at local, state and national medial circles.
Request you bring this information to the attention of your Chapter Aerospace Education Vice President (CAEVP), Chapter Executive Council and members of your AFA Chapter.
