2017 Membership Application

Welcome to the Mile High Branch, AALAS Inc.! As your local AALAS Branch, we offer many benefits to our members. Becoming a Branch Member is a great way to connect with other local Laboratory Animal professionals. We also offer several services to our members including:

AALAS Learning Library – All MHB members receive free access to the AALAS Learning Library, an on-line educational program for the Laboratory Animal profession. You may view their content at www.aalaslearninglibrary.org. After joining the branch, or renewing your membership, just e-mail [email protected] and request a username and password.

International Laboratory Animal Technician Week recognition – The Mile High Branch values the contributions of technicians, and as recognition we distribute gift bags to each of our members for Tech Week. We will also recognize Tech Week activities in our newsletter.

Meetings – Each year, the Mile High Branch hosts a full-day meeting that is educational and great networking opportunities. You must be a member to attend the branch meeting, so sign up now if you want to come join the fun! .

Newsletters – Our members will receive newsletters including branch news, when job postings are added to our website, and other information relevant to the Lab Animal profession. Members are encouraged to submit articles for the newsletter, and authors of published articles will receive a $50 honorarium.

Awards – Mile High Branch members are eligible for several Branch Awards.

 National AALAS Scholarship – each year the Branch awards free registration and a travel stipend to the winning nominee

 Jon C. Fulfs Technician of the Year, Purina Award, Branch Member of the Year – each year the Branch awards three deserving individuals these titles which come with an engraved plaque and cash award

 Best Poster Presentation, Best Oral Presentation – during the Fall Meeting the Branch will encourage technicians to submit original presentations and will award a cash prize to one individual in each category INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP SECTION – COST - $35.00
