The registration fee is $500 for one team, or $1000 for two teams. No school may register more than two teams. Registration fees are non-refundable, except as described in this form. Your registration is not complete until the competition director receives both your completed registration form and your check for the registration fee. The competition director will acknowledge each completed registration form and payment by email receipt. Registration may fill prior to December 23, 2016. If your registration form and payment are received after registration is already full, the competition director will promptly notify you of that fact by email, and will return your check for the registration fee.

Only the first ten schools to register and pay for two teams will be guaranteed the ability to send two teams to the competition. If one of those schools registering two teams later decides to send fewer than two teams, that school will forfeit its registration fee(s) for the team(s) it does not send. Any additional school beyond the first ten that attempts to register two teams will be given the option of either placing its second team on a waitlist or withdrawing both of its team registrations altogether. Each of the two law student team members must participate in writing the brief prior to the competition and presenting oral argument at competition. The competition director will randomly assign each team to write its brief on behalf of either the petitioner or the respondent. For a school sending two teams, one team will be assigned to write its brief on behalf of the petitioner, and the other will be assigned to write its brief on behalf of the respondent.
