Academic Work Experience 2009-2010. University of Notre Dame, Editorial Intern at the Review of Politics. Duties include conducting preliminary reviews of article submissions and working with the book review editor.

2007-2009. University of Notre Dame, Teaching Assistant in Political Science. Duties included leading discussions, grading, guest lecturing and meeting with students for the following courses:  Introduction to International Relations (Fall 2007)  Introduction to Comparative Politics (Spring, Fall 2008)  Introduction to Political Theory (Spring 2009)

2007-2009. University of Notre Dame, Research Assistant.  Classified coups for a database of all coups worldwide from 1945-2005. Did background research and wrote memos for individual coup cases with a particular focus on coups in African and Middle Eastern countries. Also performed final quality control check of the entire database to make sure multiple research assistants had coded cases consistently over time (2007, 2009).  Recruitment assistant in faculty hiring searches for Political Science department and Ford Foundation (2007, 2009).  Coded regime change in Colombia for book project (2008).

2002-2004. Baylor University, Teaching Assistant in Political Science. Duties included grading, guest lecturing and meeting with students for the following courses:  American Constitutional Development (Fall 2002-Spring 2004)  Social World I (Fall 2003)  Social World II (Spring 2003, Spring 2004)
