June 2007-Present Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Columbus, Ohio), Department of Pediatric Otolaryngology Intranasal effects of nasal CPAP and nasal cannula oxygen administration in the neonatal intensive care unit. Initiated and performed anterior nasal endoscopy on 100 NICU patients, a cross-sectional study. Also, performing long-term outcomes assessment on nasal CPAP use in NICU. June 2001-June 2009 Arthur G. Investigated cyclin D1, desc1, EGFR mRNA expression in primary and recurrent squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck (SCCHN). Assisted with expressional and mutational analysis of GLUT-1 in normal tissue and SCCHN. June-August 2000 National Institutes of Health (NIH)—National Heart, Lung, Blood Institute (Bethesda, Maryland) Lab of Cardiac Energetics: Use of cyanobacterial gas vesicles as ultrasound contrast agents; liposome delivery and release mechanisms into mitochondria; liposomal release mechanisms for MRI contrast delivery. June-August 1999 Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (Rootstown, Ohio) Community Medical Research/Summer Practicum—Investigated the impact of hepatitis C and suggested approaches for decreasing the incidence in Summit County, Ohio. Presented findings to board of state legislators. July 1995-May 1998 Arthur G. Used RNA extraction methods, RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, HPLC, and statistical analysis. July 1993-June 1995 The Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio), Department of Pathology Studied antioxidant vitamin protection against free radical damage in oral mucosal epithelial cells.
